Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionIt started well b4 a car accident 5 yrs ago but the accident just sort of brought everything to the surface and left it there. I suppose I could take meds but then I'd be trying and quite frankly I just don't want to try anymore.
Treatments
- Meditation Not Working
- Too many thoughts in my head for meditation to work.
- Positive Thinking Not Working
- Not too much positive out there these days.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- The 'therapist' made me feel like I was taking up too much of her precious time and while she had me listening to a tape of ocean waves - eyes closed of course, she was sleeping.
- Support from Friends & Family Not Working
- Support from friends and family? Are you kidding? They don't want to believe that I may need some help bcuz then how will I be available to support them 24/7?
Close Diets & Weight Maintenance
I just can't seem to stick to anything unless it is for an event like a wedding or family gathering.
Open Family Issues
I purchased a house with my mother as she needed out of a situation. I am nearly 40 and she still won't treat me like an adult. When I leave the house I am asked where I am going, and when will I be back. If I come home late, I get the 'do you know what time it is?' look. I have three brothers who are treated as adults and no matter what I do I will never be as good as them.

- tried e-councelling via the EAP program at work. the sessions were free but limited so I didn't get the full benefit
- Talking Not Working
- My mother doesn't believe in anything whereby another person would be considered an equal.
