Morning peoples! It's Friday. Big day on the East Coast. Eleven a.m. starts the Yankee parade!!
What a mess New York is gonna be!! They say forty tons of confetti will fall on the street, and I'm sure they're right. I'll watch some of the celebration on TV. I am proud of the Yankees. They were my moms favorite team (may she rest in peace). She was a Yankee freak! At the age of 80, she went to one of the games. Her younger brother, who was killed in WWII was a pitcher for the Bears. He struck out Babe Ruth. We still have the actual baseball!! There's a bit of cool info, huh???
I slept well last night. No more construction since Wednesday. The equipment is still there and there are a few people lolling around, but no loud noise! I woke up, on my own, at seven thirty. That's a good sign!
I did go downstairs yesterday. And I did my leg exercises....easy does it, I know. But I want to get into a routine. My head feels a bit clearer and the dizziness is less. This is the beginning of the end of this crash! YESSSSSSSSSS!
So I will take it easy today. I have opened the upstairs windows, (even though I'm freezing my butt off) to get fresh air up here! It feels wonderful to me! The sun is out, but it's only around 50 degrees! Sooooooo, I'm waking up with my tea and toast and will try to get back downstairs after my eleven o'clock rest.
I have summer clothes still in my drawers....this has to end. My sweaters are supposed to be in those drawers! It's not a heavy duty chore and it's something I can do sitting down. I will probably attempt to make the switch over this weekend, and force myself to part with stuff I know I'll never wear again. UGH! I hate this....but it's gotta be done!
Hope you all have a good Friday! Be well!
Know that you are always in my heart!!!

I am soooo very pleased you are out of your flare now Darla. I am on my way into mine. I won't wallow in it. just accept it for what it is. You have done so well. keep it up.

So pleased you are coming out of the crash Darla. That's very good news.
Haven't changed over my clothes yet, and I haven't turned out my 'work' clothes. I really must do that job, thanks for the reminder.
It's quite chilly here today too and we have the woodburner alight....the cats love it.
Hope you enjoy watching the parade.
Much love Jenxxx

Air out away! You better put the summer clothes away because flip flops and snow don't go well together. Donate what you haven't worn for a year to Sally Ann. I do. Pay it forward or give it back.. yada yada yada.... Glad you're feeling better too. Exercise routine is good I'm trying too. Will check in on you over the weekend. Yankees - who are they again? LOL Go Blue Jays (I don't really know what I"m talking about as I don't follow sports, just cats). xo

Sigh...... the clothes issue.
I never got my winter shirts out last year, they're too small, and not hot flash compliant. All my favorite shirts are too small. I could camouflage with some kind of crocheted vest, because shopping trips have not yielded replacement shirts in my new size. Or an oversize lightweight blouse. Again, CAN'T FIND ONE.
I hope you're able to attend the festivities today. But if not, you have a plan in place that will help with your sanity.
