Good Sunday morning my friends!!
Hope yesterday was a wonderful day of celebration for you!
My family will have our BBQ today! My daughter and Billy, my brother, David and Bobby and I are gonna get together at one o'clock at our house.
Bobby's outside cleaning off the patio and the grill. We have the usual burgers and weiners and steak fries....and strawberry shortcake! Yum, and, of course....Krystin is bringing chocolate cake. I mean, what kind of celebration does NOT include CHOCOLATE??? Huh?? Let's get real here!
So, last night, Bobby and I went outside to watch fireworks from the next town. We can see through the trees in our back yard. So we climb on top of my car and sit and we can see pretty well. Well, I'm in my PJ's and I look and see that the fireworks are aimed in a different direction this year and our trees are in the way! We can't have this!!! It's an outrage! Sooooooooo, I told Bobby to get his car keys. He did, and around the blocks we went till we found a spot on a neighboring street where you could clearly see them. I guess we were quite a bit closer than usual, cuz you could also clearly HEAR them!! It was great! The weather was perfect and the fireworks were really well done! They did a lot of ground stuff that was really awesome as well. Yayyyyyyyy, I haven't been that close to fireworks in years. I felt good!
We'll make a call to dad and all of us chillins will speak to him this afternoon when we're together. Bobby also takes pics on his cell and sends them to dad's cell. This just makes my father feel so good. I wish he could be here with us.
Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to this afternoon. Gonna clean the bathroom this morning, that's it. Don't need to fuss over the house. I'm saving my energy for my family.....wanna laugh and share, and EAT!!!
Charles Stanley had an awesome, awesome presentation this morning. He had a guest speaker. If you've ever had a doubt that this Country was founded by Christian principles and the Bible just watch.....and listen to this historian. Unbelievable....absolutely unbelievable what I learned today. Go to intouch.org and click on "todays sermon". The man's name is David Barton.....unbelievable, really!

Cleaning??? Trying to wear yourself down??? Rest there girfriend... We didn't get fireworks, it was too overcast. Sigh. But part of me was happy cause Buggy didn't get upset. Food for supper sounds great.Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy. love and hugs. Mary

there was a smattering of fireworks here yesterday, spose a few septics got together and thought they would have a small party.
I have discovered that cleaning and hoovering and running up and down the flippin stairs gets my blood sugar lowered.. drat! no excuse for slacking now is there?

Oh, how odd, I left a comment here I am sure. Ooops maybe it was someone else's journal. Please don't overdo it Darla. Hope you have a happy day with your family and enjoy that chocolate cake. We had chocolate icecream which was yummy.

Okay, now I've caught up on your journals! You had to go to the ER?!! Oh my poor dear Darla! I'm so sorry. I know that you must have really been struggling to drag yourself back into that darn ER. And you just keep marching forward. You sweet dear friend! So much happened to you and both my "jens" while I was gone. Wow, there was a lot of catching up and I'm so very glad that I'm back. It feels so good to know about my friends and to come back to these wonderful hugs and so much love. Thanks!! I hope you are doing okay after your fireworks and celebration. I'm thinking of you!! I am so happy you got to see the fireworks so well. We just hung out at home and didn't watch them this time. I guess I wasn't much up to treaking the short walk with our chairs up the road. Today we will have a BBQ too. I hope we both, that we all enjoy our Sunday.

Another BBQ for you ... good! And I could see you and Bobby driving around in your PJs, looking for those fireworks! Hope you sat on top of your car like the original plan. Sounds like you're feeling MUCH better. I'm so glad. I'll check out that website. We had some pretty incredible tributes at church as well ... some of the quotes the founding fathers made ... ALL in the name of Christianity. Hope the BBQ was fun and filling (and that you got your chocolate fix!)

well compared to when you were new on here or when I was getting to know you, you have made major strides forward. Driving a car, riding in a car in your pjs, that kind of stuff. It makes me smile. Your a love bug! I am hoping you had a great day and ate some of your favorite stuff...CHOCOLATE!! Be bad girl!!
