Happy Fourth of July my friends!
I need to give a little update on what's been going on. It's not like me not to journal....but I've simply been to sick to sit up!
Basically, I was in a regular crash, when a urinary tract infection came along and got completely out of control. I was on an antibiotic and not getting better. On recheck, my gyn. told me to give him a urine sample in order to be sure I was on a proper antibiotic...long story short, his office goofed up and never sent the specimen to the lab.
When I called for results they realized their error and the doctor sent me to a lab to leave a specimen there. That took three more days. Of course it came back negative because I'd been on an antibiotic the whole time.
I went to the Emergency Room yesterday. I was unable to urinate, had horrible spasms in my bladder and my doctors (gyno and primary) were off for the Holiday! OK.....that's what the ER is for. I had to deal with being catheterized (WHOA ouch!) but was finally given a medication to stop the pain and the spasms.
Within a few hours I began to get some relief from the pain.
I am pain free this morning, and very thankful for that. You should see my Easter egg color pee pee!! It kind of matches the color of the "horrible" face I have up here! (prolly too much information, but I'm sure glad they warned me about it before I looked! EEEEK!)
I'm beat up, I'm exhausted, I'm nauseous, I'm anxious......you get the drift!
No, this is not any kind of reaction to the bug spray last week. It's just another infection gone wild in my body. It's been suggested that maybe all the trouble with my digestive system and now the trouble with my urinary tract are linked. Sure makes sense to me! It's all connected. I have to fix one to make the other work right.
Thank you for your heartfelt concerns and prayers......I need them!
I am an American, and real, real proud to be one.....I'm just a little beat up at the moment.
I wish you all a wonderful Fourth of July.....go see fireworks, have a BBQ and enjoy the weekend.
Don't make a bunch of racket near my house though....I needs to sleep, ok? ok!!

Me too. They were at it around here last night. It's illegal but they do it anyway.

Darla Darla, poor baby all this stuff happening to you I fell so bad for you. Gee what next? I pray they get you back to feeling well. I am not going to make any noise near your house I promise.. LOL The fireworks will start around here tonight around 10pm.. We are not doing much of anything here. Tomorrow is the picnic with my son. You rest and get to feeling better. That just sucks, poor widdul fing Darla.. I have only ever been catheterised once in my whole life whilst awake and not aneasthetised! ouch.. but at least it got rid of your wee wee! (as we call it here) Hope you have a wonderfully peaceful day today. No line dancing for you at the 4th July celebrations... yahear!

AWWW!!I knew u werent up to par my dear but you got a little of everything at once, no wonder . ouch on the cath.They just are horrible no matter what.
I despise them. I sure hope this leads u to some help but am thankful you arent in so much pain today.
And hey I have had some of those meds turn urine purple before. Except they didnt tell me. Was not an enlightening experience at night. lol. My (OLD)doc actually laughed . I didnt think it was so funny.I dont see him anymore.
I also promise no noise from me either. I hope they dont have them going off round my house. Neighborhood that is. Usually someone sneaking here and its so hot and dry its not good. I have been hit in leg by a bottle rocket years ago. Still have a scar.And it hurt like well %^$^^&*, u can imagine a word.

Oh my GOSH Darla.....poor wittle you! ENOUGH ALREADY HUH? I"m sorry you had to have a tube shoved up your whoo-whoo....owwwwwwwwieeeee!!! But i'm glad you got some relief and feel so much better now! PTL! I'm so glad they told you about the easter egg colored wee.....the anxiety monster would have taken a hold of that one and ran with it i'm sure!! Yikes! REALLY happy that you're feeling better my friend!
SLEEP now, REST and continue to heal!

Oh Darla, what happened to you was so terrible. Your doctor should be ashamed of his staff. The least he should do is pay for the ER visit. We count on our doctors, shame on them.
I do hope that you are resting peacefully today and able to see some fireworks. We just walk a little up our street and we see several shows around our area.
Two of my grand babies were here for two days. I got up with them both mornings. It was a sweet and tiring time.

Sorry to hear about the UTI. Nasty things for sure. Is the orange due to the antispasmodic? Heal quickly the antibiotic drains you as well but you know all that. blessings xo

Try some cranberry juice to keep the bladder healthy. I had cystitis one time when me and my son were traveling. It was horrible. But after the Orange pee and the spasms stopped, hasn't happened again! Hope it's the same for you!
