Part-time receptionist at an Animal Hospital & full time Admin Asst at a Resort HOA; one son who is now living in Elmira, NY, divorced April 29, 2008. I have been dating a wonderful man that lives close by - our first date was January 24, 2009 & he is a total sweetheart. He has taught me so much & shown me so many different experiences . . . shot my first guns with him on 10-31-09. We went to our first NASCAR race in Darlington last Spring & I went fishing for the first time with him this past Summer.

Close Bipolar Disorder
divorced April 29, 2008 from husband who was diagnosed as bipolar in 1983. We have had a very rocky relationship throughout the years. I disagree with him & he leaves me. Two years ago, he served me with divorce papers. We reconciled again & moved to SC. He left me New Year's Day 2007 & I am trying to get my life back. I couldn't keep going through this with him - he is very controlling & does not like my son & thinks he's a loser that is on drugs & steals, which is totally wrong.
Treatments
- Depakote Not Working
- spouse ended up in psych ward - drug lowered his bp so much he passed out when he stood up & made him a psycotic skitzo is back on lithium
- Lithium Somewhat Helpful
- he is drinking alcohol which our pdoc in NY said was not to be used at all. we now live in SC, which only makes him go to a regular doctor to get the meds rx - the doc here said he can drink!

- Forgiveness Somewhat Helpful
- I am still in the process of trying to forgive Andy & the big one is trying to forgive myself.
- Leave Working / Worked
- I enjoy being alone, but miss the companionship - especially since I will not go out alone.
- Pets Working / Worked
- My 2 dachshunds are the best! They are my friends & it is nice to be needed by something that accepts & loves me for who I am no matter what.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- This was the best thing I ever did. I read the book "Becoming Real," and that helped me discover the pitfalls I always seemed to get myself into regarding bad relationships.
- Talking Working / Worked
- I am a talker & it helps me vent & get feedback from people I trust to keep my sanity & see things from a perspective outside of my issues.
