Merci for stopping by my journal! Our shower turned out to be a lot of fun. Both DH and I were so touched by the love and support we felt. and i must admit that the gifts will be helpful too!

I hope that your trip goes fantastic and he loves the plane ride and seeing his family. Sorry we couldn't get together, we will definitely have to have you over for a swim date when you get back. Bailey loves the swimming pool and kicking his legs. Have safe travels.

I understand your getting nervous about the flight... I did too, but it all did go great. Being super prepared helps. You'll do GREAT!
I dressed Milena in long sleeve PJs with a onesie underneath. They were super convenient --- no blanket to try to bundle around her, no socks to lose, good temperature control for her (I rolled up the sleeves at one point, and unbuttoned the front a bit too), and easy access for diaper changes. You could always start Zach out in a onesie in the warm weather, then add the pajamas on top once the air conditioning is turned up inside the plane.
Rather than only doing liquids, you might try taking some solid snacks like Cheerios or bread. Cheerios in a ziplock are easy to pack, and they dissolve well in the mouth.
One other tip: Make yourself a tiny diaper change kit that you can carry easily. You'll only need a changing pad, a small pack of wipes, and one...maybe 2... diapers at a time. You won't want to juggle anything more in the tiny airplane bathroom!
And remember... accept offers for help:-) You keep the baby, but other people can put your bag away, etc.

Open Infertility
Type: EndometriosisI suffer from large endometriosis on my ovaries. I am high risk for etopic pregnancy! And, DH has low sperm count! Started our first IVF cycle in May 07 and got pregnant:). But I miscarried our little Girl at 8.5 weeks! Started 2nd IVF cycle in Sept.07. Very low Beta: Chemical Pregnancy. 3rd IVF in May 08 = BFP!!!!
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- Did relax me, but did not get me a BFP for 2nd cycle. Found a new Doc. for IVF #3 and got a BFP.
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- Did only one cycle in March 08: BFN and got large cysts after the treatment.
- Hysteroscopy Working / Worked
- Surgery in Jan.08 - free of Endo now!
- In Vitro Fertilization Working / Worked
- Perfect 1st cycle - got pregnant right away :) Perfect 3rd cycle = BFP!
Open Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)
Baby Zach was born on 01/30/09.

Open Skin Cancer
Diagnostic: pre-melanoma after removing and biopsy of 4 moles (did appear during pregnancy). Doctor did surgery and removed more skin; I have now 3 big 2 inches scars on my back and tummy! Need to go to dermatologist every 3 months for check up now and stay away from the sun...Pretty hard to do in SoCal!
