I was doing great...really...running 5 miles at a time, eating healthy, blah blah blah...and then i twisted my ankle...not even that bad...don't remember what i was doing, but it didn't seem that bad...and now it's gotten worse each day....minor pain on saturday, modest pain on sunday, and now a throbbing limp.
now, i can't run. i'm walking kinda goofy. i feel like i'm quickly erasing the gains i made over the last few weeks. argh.

What you need to do is start to ice it right now. Do 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off as not to damage the skin. Stay off of it and whatever you do, do not work through pain just for a run, or even a walk. Listen to your body very well. Your pain will tell you what is good and what is bad. As a personal trainer and an ex-rugby player (very competitive) I do know how to deal with injuries like that very well. More than willing to help you out more. Just message me if you want.
