My wife and I have been married for 4 years and through invetro, we have new born twins at home. I need someone to …
Well the nurse at the RE's office called me yesterday afternoon to give me the results of the blood work they did on Wed to see if they could determine what the deal is with AF.
First she starts out saying they ran a pregnancy test and it was negative. Ummmm, ya think?!?
She then tells me my prog is .6 and my estrodiol is 132 and that could mean that either I haven't ovulated yet OR AF is heading my way sometime soon (gee, I'm pretty sure one of those was the case anyway without having to get blood taken). Next steps, they told me to wait and see if AF arrives and if she's isn't knocking on my door by 3 weeks to call them back. Assuming she arrives before then (man, I hope so) I'm to call them as originally planned to schedule blood for cd3 and cd10 and take 100 clomid cds5-9 and the RE wants to do an u/s himself to see what is going on with my ovaries and cysts.
So, here I am.....hurry up and wait.......my Type A personality is SO NOT LIKING THIS :-)

Geez, you sure end up spending a lot of time waiting! I am so sorry! Though, I am surprised that with your progesterone so low, the nurse would say that you possibly haven't ovulated yet - I was always under the impression that progesterone drops significantly after you ovulate - and your progesterone can't drop by a whole lot more...but I am no doc so who knows, maybe I am completely confused. Anyhow...I hope that AF arrives soon so that you can get started with clomid and then enter a new waiting period...the 2ww! Good luck!

Oh my goodness, I could have told you all that and I went to paralegal school ;)
My mom always says to take hot baths and AF will come! Calgon...take me away!

The waiting is very tough, just hang in there!

I'm surprised they want you to wait three weeks. That's ridiculous. Can't they give you something to kick start AF? Ugh! It's very frustrating sometimes.

Sorry to hear all this? Is your cycle typically this long or does it vary often? Uugh! You must be ready to lose it. Hang in there and we'll keep checking in with you.

Hang in there, I know waiting is a drag (I'm not a very patient person so I know how hard it must be for you). Let us know when AF arrives, I really hope you don't have to wait 3 wks.

FRUSTRATING isnt it! Im so sorry that your stuck in the waiting game. I dont do so well with the "have no idea what the heck is going on or when its going to end" either. Heres hoping AF arrives NOW! Thanks for all the kind words, thinking of you too! ~April

I can feel and completely understand your frustration! Keep your chin up, stay positive and know that this will work out for you! Oh and give the RE's a swift kick when they need it! ;)

Oh, I know this game. AF can be a little trouble maker. My first cycle with the RE went until day 50! I hope she stops fooling around and comes already!
