I'm a 25 year old from Florida. I love animals and have 5 cats and a skunk. I joined this site to better help me deal w/ the grief I'm feeling since my mother, grandma, & friend all died in 2007. I also have suffered w/ panic attacks since I was 12 years old. This site has helped me relate to other people going through what I'm going through.

Type: Loss of a ParentI'm 24 & I lost my mother on 1-10-07 due to complications from cancer. She was 57 years old and died very suddenly and unexpectadly. My mother was my best friend. She lived right down the street from me and I saw her everyday. She was my rock. I don't know what to do now that she's gone so suddenly. My heart is broken and I feel like I'll die w/ her if I don't get some help.

Close Panic Attacks
I've been suffering from severe panic attacks for 12 years. I've been on every medication you could possibly imagine. I currently take Cymbalta and Klonopin as needed. I'm looking for support because my mother just passed away 1-10-07 and the anxiety and pain I feel is like nothing I've ever felt before.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- I've been taking it for over a year. I think it helps?
- Effexor Not Working
- Left me w/ HORRIBLE side-effects and twitching.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- The only thing after 12 years that still takes the edge off and helps me cope when I need to.
- Paxil Not Working
- Didn't do a thing and I gained weight.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- You've gotta find the right therapist in order for it to work.
- Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
- It helped me sleep at night but I chose to stop taking it.
- Xanax Not Working
- I didn't like how it made me feel.
- Zoloft Not Working
- I was kept on this medication for a long time but I don't know why because I don't feel it helped.
Open Anxiety
I've suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks for 12 years. I've tried everything from accupuncture to medication. You name it, I've been on it.

- It's basically the same thing as taking a Benadryl.
- Ativan Not Working
- Tried it years ago. Didn't last long enough.
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- BuSpar Not Working
- tried it years ago. Never helped.
- Hypnotherapy Not Working
- Didn't work.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- The only thing in 12 years that's always helped.
- Lexapro Not Working
- Didn't work.
- Paxil Not Working
- Didn't work. Gained a lot of weight.
- Xanax Not Working
- Hated the way it made me feel.
- Zoloft Not Working
- Helped for a while then just stopped working.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Helps with the depression.
