I came down with a cold last week and decided to try and quit again.
It's been over a week!
Let's see how this goes...

I really need to journal more often. :P
Today marks my "1 year" at DS. Crazyness.
So much has changed over the past year, myself and DS included! It's been one crazy ride, but I can honestly say that I am in a much better place now and have learned SO MUCH about myself.
I've also met some incredibly awesome people over this past year (both on and offline), and have re-connected with some long-lost friends who have helped me out in more ways than they'll ever know. It may sounds cheesy, but I feel incredibly privledged to be blessed with such wonderful people in my life.:)
It's been very cool to be able to be a part of this wonderful site; watching it grow and read some truly amazing member stories. I hope that the sites continues to grow and be a valuable tool which provides a safe, positive atmosphere where we all can obtain the support we're seeking.
Duty calls! I'll try to journal again soon.

Good luck to you!
I'm working on this myself.....
I have cut back and have been self disciplined enough to bring myself that far.
In no time at all, I know I can do it!
Keep up the good work and I believe in you!

Jesse, I have never smoked so I can't say I have been there!! But I have heard that many people are more successful if they use hard candies or gum, but more importantly, keep their hands busy? Plant a garden? Mow grass for the elderly? Do jigsaw puzzles?
Get a hobby? Paint by number? I know the pain and grief of addiction but mine was to pain medication! AND!!! I was only taking what I was told to take, an administered, prescribed dosage!! Long and Ugly
Story!!! Good Luck My Friend!!!

Tis a noble goal good sir! (Part of me wishes we still spoke like that!)
Hope that you prevail over smoking. I'm like qutee, so I can only guess how hard this is for you.

Thank you all for the encouraging words and support.
I do need to keep myself busy! I don't think about smoking when I'm preoccupied! An extreme sport maybe?! Good luck and keep it up too jenn!
Jesse
lots of water jesse and distractions.... i'm at day 127 of not smoking and i can tell you that the water and keeping busy helped. the water will help get the nicotine out of the body faster.

i hope you're still hanging in there. it's hard, i know. i smoked for 30 some years but it's really worth it now. you never realize until you quit how much time is taken up by smoking and now i find that i can get a lot more done and i'm enjoying things that i wasn't able to do before. as i tell everyone , the mindset is half the battle.
