I am a single mother, went through a bad divorce and my 22, 20 and 18 year old are a lot to handle and dad is there occasionally. I'm in the thick of menopause with just about every symptom and many times would like to just pull my hair out, then I look in the mirror and realize I don't need to because it is falling out on it's own...lol....heavy sigh. My doctor told me tonight that perhaps a support group would help me through this. So here I am.

Close Menopause
I've been in menopause for a little over a year and having a real rough time as I am experiencing too many symptoms. Just would like to know that I'm not alone. I look forward to getting to know other women feeling my pain.....lol....
Treatments
- Premarin Working / Worked
- I'm off it now, it was working, but didn't realize how well until I was off it. Looking for something that doesn't come with a risk of cancer!
Close Breakups & Divorce
I was with my ex for 27 years away from him 3 and a half and divorced since Dec. 22, 2006. It was a difficult marriage and find it difficult to be in relationship for various reasons. I have a bf, but it is a challenge for me at times because of what my marriage was. I'm actually in therapy now to help me deal with the mental and emotional abuse.
Treatments
- Family Therapy Working / Worked
- I've been in Family therapy for a couple months and I do like it and I'm learning to change my behavior and understanding them as well. Haven't brought the kids in yet, but I hope to someday!
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- helps, and they try to understand, but unless they have been through similar experiences, they are limited in understanding. Knowing they are there is the best thing for me.
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- Just joined a support group and then here, is helping
- Talking Working / Worked
- helps a lot
