I am in total understanding of the meltdowns. They do get better. My young man is 12 now and we do not have them as often as we used to. They do get better and not as severe. Now we only experience them maybe once a month and when he feels it coming on he goes to bed because he gets them when he is over tired and had a stressful week in school. I have also learned to applaude him in my mind and to myself because when I bragged about how well we were doing we would slip back the very next day.
Welcome Mandyes! Thanks for sharing your story with all of us!
My six year old little man was diagnosed Asperger's and SID when he was 4. He is now in the first grade in mainstream and is doing great so far!!!
