A jersey gal stuck in PA. Married for 18 years. Been asthmatic since 11, had fibromyalgia for the last 9 years, hypothyroid, anxiety disorder since my mothers awful passing in 1996. Asthma is all out of control now. Alot of allergies that have gotten worse since we've moved to PA which was to be temporary, now its indefinate. I wish I could just go back to NJ by the shore where my allergies aren't so bad. Hopefully one day. :)

Interests
Music, (metal and rock are favorites, but love all types), cars, (especially mustangs), Dragons, (their all over protecting my house, lol), art, (which I used to do all the time, but since my mother's death it hasn't been that much in my life). Books, I LOVE books, and I love animals of all kinds. I miss our little yorkie who was more like our child than a dog.

Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaAsthma recently in the last few months has become uncontrolled. Many meds were changed at once, caused problems, then meds on before were stopped completely,for a week, then all hell broke loose. On 2 new meds, now one with nebulizer since none of the HFA's help much (and found through my pulm. drs, and other drs., that many people don't get the same benefits from the HFA then the old inhalers, and the drug companies only make HFA in brand, and not good enough propellent for me.f

- Advair Somewhat Helpful
- Started it a few years ago, and although it seemed to help, it caused palpitations.
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- It was fine with inhalers until inhalers were changed to HFA (which not only don't help as much, but I may be allergic to)
- Asmanex Not Working
- Had palpitations from it
- Azmacort Somewhat Helpful
- was on years ago, on it now, but not sure its helping alot.
- Breathing Exercises Somewhat Helpful
- Done as a 12 year old, and starting again.
- Immunotherapy Working / Worked
- had it 2 times in life. May end up doing it again.

- still on it. But with stress and huge amounts of prednisone, its aggrivating it.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Not Working
- no matter what I ate, it still happened.
- Nexium Somewhat Helpful
- worked for awhile, but found even on it for months, still had ulcers in esophogas and stomach.
- Pepcid Somewhat Helpful
- Prevacid Somewhat Helpful
- Prilosec Somewhat Helpful
- Protonix Not Working
- Antacids Working / Worked
- Even with prescription meds, maalox does help a bit too when extra help is needed.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) Depressionall started mostly in 1996 when I lost my mother. Also ended up with anxiety disorder. Depression ususally didn't bother me, until then, when I ended up depressed and then anxiety attacks.

It started in 1996, after my mother died. the next year I lost my mother in law who I was also close to. I thought it was just depression, but people kept telling me to get help. Finally one night, I felt like I was going to die. I called my sister and said how I felt and she knew exactly what it was. That was my nervous breakdown. I've had anxiety disorder for 11 years. My mother was my rock, then my life fell apart. I've had therapy, and meds, & they helped alot. But I still struggle.

Open Gallstones
GallBladder surgery 12/3/08. I thought I was healing ok, but now I got an absess under part of the incision. I had another incision cut in that incision in the dr. office to drain the infection. I'm now stuck going for wound care everyday, but when I went today (had it yesterday), and they tried to pull on the packing, the pain was too intense. My dr. lied about tests and what could be done. And he told me I would be numbed to get the packing out. Neeldess to say he was wrong again
Open Financial Challenges
Hubby worked at at&t for 18 years. Got laid off with 4000 other people. He worked $8. jobs, (he made 26 per hr. there). He works nights for a $12 that after taxes and ins. is maybe $8. We've lost everything, can't afford basic bills I'm on disability for asthma. His family tried to split us up when we were homeless and they have huge homes of their own. Hubby now has Afib. and diabetes, and has been caring for me since complications with my gallbladder surgery.

- we have no credit cards at all.

- He lost his job after that.

Husband has had afib on and off for 5 years.
