My name is Joe. I'm a retiered Teamster from NYC. I moved up to New Hampshire with my wife Margaret to get away from all the BS. I have 2 children and 2 grand kids. I love hiking and climbing. I'm also a musician (Keyboards) I've been playing since I'm 9 years old. I just quit a classic rock cover band because some of the guys didn't take the music seriously enough..."I DO"! So now I just write songs for my wife and I to listen to.

Close Epilepsy & Seizures
I had a car accident back in January of 2000. Fractured a lot of my bones on my right side plus hit my head against the windshield. Now I have epilepsy due to C-spine damage. My last grand mal was 7 years ago, so I do have it under control, thank God!

- Dilantin Not Working
- Was on it for 5 years. It started to bother my liver, so I had to switch to Pheno.
- Phenobarbital Working / Worked
- Works great!
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Helps calm me down when I start to get "THAT" feeling.
Open Chronic Pain
Had a car accident, Jan 2000. Fractured a lot of bones on my right side, C spine damage and hit my head. Now I have epilepsy from it. Doc's told me I'd have trouble later on in life. Well, it's later on in life. The operations have begun. Shoulder was first. Right knee next, then the left,then I don't know. Pain 24-7 ever since.

I lost my dad a while back. And now I lost my mom this year also. I used to live in NYC. I moved up to NH just before 911 happened. I lost a good friend that day too. He worked for the NYFD. I also used to see the Twin Towers every day on the job, then they were gone. I miss Gregg and the Towers and the thousands of people who died that day. It hurts so much.

Open Depression
I started getting depressed a few years ago. I don't know why. But recently it's been worse. It comes in waves. I can usually think it away by meditating. I had a very bad car accident back in January of 2000. I got pretty banged up.....so bad that I'm now starting to have operations for some of the damage done. I also developed epilepsy from c spine damage from that accident. This depression is starting to weigh heavy on me, and it's lasting longer than the usual few day like in the past.
Treatments
- Elavil Not Working
- It did nothing for me.
- Lexapro Not Working
- It made me very sick.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- Usually works.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- I can usually think it away after a few days, but not recently.
Open Lung Cancer
My mom had lung cancer. We found out April 2007. She did the chemo and radiation thing, but it came back. Now she's gone. IF YOU SMOKE, "PLEASE TRY TO STOP"!
Open Hepatitis C
My wife has Hep C. We found out a few years ago. The docs did a liver biopsy and want her to go on TX. She'll be starting it in July of 2009. She wants to wait until she retiers from her job to start it. Can you blame her?
Open Diabetes Type 2
My wife has Type 2 Diabetes since 2002.
