I went to my GP for my pre-op only to learn that the drs had moved it to next Wednesday. Because I have been Anemic for so long they want me to have a Cardiologist give me clearance before the surgery. We laughed and I told her it was a good thing she told me BEFORE I did the bowel prep!
So now I have an order to see a cardiologist and fasting blood work...oops. I haven't been as good about the diet as I should of been, I figured I'd get serious after the surgery so I am gonna be found out unless the high blood sugar last time was a fluke. We will see. So now I have a whole nother week to be anxious, sheesh! I just got home so I have to go and take care of the kids until their dad gets home. chao for now, jilly

Jilly - use your extra week (when you are not running to labs and doctors) to just be kind to yourself. I know this is a real let-down because we all build up the dread thing, but try to turn it into something positive for you. If anyone can, you can!

A blessing and a curse!! Gives you more time to be prepared on the home front and yourself, but more time to fret and worry about the surgery. Am just pleased you find out before you did the bowel prep!!COL!! Now that woulda been very annoying huh??COL!!
