Well I saw the doc yesterday and she wants me to have the upper endoscopy asap. They don't feel that anything found in the colonoscopy series was responsible for the 6 point drop in my hemoglobin. I don't know why they didn't do both the first time either Sandy; the doc did mention the camera series but said that that would be the last resort - it's very expensive so Insurance companies aren't real excited about paying for it...and you get to keep the camera, lol. So I have to get some blood work, it will be interesting to see where the Sed rate has gone and perhaps it will give us some explanation for the temple pain. I was diagnosed with TMJ by my rheumy when I saw him a few weeks ago, so now I need to find out more about it so I can take some steps to dealing with it. Does anyone know if its a temporary problem or is it permanent?

She signed the papers for the Scooter Store and said she would fax them. I can't wait to find out if I'm approved and how soon I'll get it. I don't know if I am getting a scooter or a power chair - the scooter would be great cause it would help make the world more accessible and it has a handy dandy basket...lol...but the chair is more comfortable - at least that's what I'm told...hmmm. Well we will see, Sandy how quick did you get your scooter after your doc faxed the forms?

After the doc visit, Kristen, Ashley and I went to lunch at a little resturant near Lincoln Park Zoo. I used to take my girls there when they were little after a hard day at the zoo. I forgot to bring my grocery list so we went home after lunch and every bodies' eye got heavy, including mine. So Ashley and I laid down with Roxy to "rest" a little. When I woke up, Kristen and Thora had joined us, LOL - thank goodness I have a king size bed.

We headed out again to do some power shopping, but Ashley stayed home with Alex and Gpa so she could play with the little boys next store. We went to Sam's club for one thing and left with a cart full. Then it was off to Aldi's and then the Fresh Market next door. I was wiped! I haven't been grocery shopping in a long time - I've been sending Bob to the store whenever we need something. It's a good thing Sam's has the mechanized carts or I would never have made it. I picked up a bunch of fresh fruit, I've been wanting to start making juice again so we will see how that goes. Well I hope everyone has a good day today, I will talk to you all later. Love ya! hugs jilly

Hi Jilly, I had a mouthguard made for my problems with TMJ and although I did'nt think I would be able to tolerate wearing it at night, it worked really well and was not half as uncomfortable as I thought.
My hubby makes his own juices - yummy - I'm starting to really love them too. All the best.

I know what you mean Deby and my dr agrees. She only signed the papers on the understanding that I will make every effort to walk when I can. I really want the scooter for those times when walking will be extended like at Great america or a large mall. Right now we rent a wheelchair but that means someone has to push me because I can't roll the wheels with my hands.

Hi Jill, I got my chair very quickly but I don't remember how quick. Funny thing is I have never used it!! We haven't gone anywhere except the science center and we took the wheel chair instead. The cart that I have is a 3 wheel gogo. It is very comfortable, it breaks down into three pieces, and is pretty heavy. Be sure you find out how to break it down adn put it back together. It should fit in the trunk of your car. All I did was fax the docs script to the company , and they took it from there. Good luck, but be sure and walk whenever you can, like DEb said you don't want to "loose it". Enjoy !! hugs sandy
