I have no idea where the week went but the last time I paid any attention to anything it was Saturday. I feel awful, my butt hurts and I feel nauseous. I am forcing myself to say hello because I do miss you all too and want you to know that I did survive the hemmorhoidectomy (yes, but can you spell it?) My doc told me recovery would be a bitch and he was not lying! The only thing I have been doing for the past week is taking pills every 4 hours, sleeping and floating in a sitz bath while reading...it's more of a flitz bath than a sitz bath lol.
I had to get dressed and leave the house this morning to see my rheumy. I didn't realize I hadn't seen him since July! Too much exciting stuff getting in the way. I was waiting at the elevator to go up to his office when he approached (running late) and he didn't recognize me at first...he said I lost a lot of weight - apparently it was all in my face lol. So afterwards Kristen and I went out for breakfast; mistake, I couldn't sit up any longer so had em wrap my eggs benedict up and layed down in the backseat on the way home.
I am actually feeling better a little each day but the journey to horrible took so long, it's taking a while to get back to better. This little bit of writing has taken almost an hour so I am signing off for now. Take care...hugs jilly

It's Saturday night and my bum hurts, lol. I wasn't feeling very well today and felt like I could easily stay another night but the nurses and resident docs said you're leaving today. I felt like I was being rushed out the door. But I guess it doesn't matter now cause I'm home. It was too late to get my scripts filled so Bob will get them in the morning and I will make do with what I already have.
A coworker of Kristen sent me a boquet of small pink carnations, I love flowers! and I didn't get my garden fix this year so the flowers were doubley welcome. Well I am tired, I think I'll go to bed night, night all jilly

Jill, I had gotten behind and just read the last week of your journal. You have been thru alot, and I do hope you are feeling better today. Every day will bew better than the day before. Thinking of you Hugs Sandy
My dr says that if I feel better I can go home tomorrow, if not then on Sunday. They took me off the PCA and are given me Norco 10/325 times two every 6 hours. I am hurting even more now. I - kept fallen asleep today while talking to Kristen and would answer my nurses questions as I was waking up and what I said was appropriate to my dream but not the nurses querey!!! All hell broke loose because the nursel thought I was going psychotic lol, she started asking me "the questions" What country are you in? Do you know the name of the hospital? Who am I? LOL, I laugh because those are questions that you ask to determine if there are any psychologic problems and I know this because I was in the clinical psychology Master's program when I developed RA. So I immediately shut my mouth because I didn't want anyone thinking I'm psychotic...LOL
Now that I am taking Norco, it's obviously not as good as Morphine but they have increased the dosage to every 4 hrs - we will see how that goes. I have been lucky that almost all the nurses, assistants and helpers have been very helpful and caring. I am now moving around better, they just took my blood for a CBC because yesterday my Hemoglobin was down to 7.4 So the nurse says they always check on the 3rd day and they might determine that I need to stay for another night while they give me a transfusion...We will see what that brings. They just brought me some meds so I will let you go, goodnight my friends! Loving you as always, jilly

Take your time about coming home Jilly, these things take time and you don't wanna be in a state at home and have to go back into hospital, not only that, but your pain levels are up in the air you wanna make sure the pain meds are enough to control the pain don't you?? You are sounding good my Friend, but take it easy yeah??
You arein my thoughts Poppet, get well soon, but not sooner than you need.
Warm hugs and positive thoughts, Owlxxxxxxxx

Jilly - it is so good to see you posting. I know how awful the recovery is - my husband had the same thing and his weren't near as bad as yours. I'm hoping that you are doing much, much better every day!

Sending you an inflatable doughnut to sit on, that should help a little. Do you have one to sit on? Hope you get better soon.

Yes I agree I hope you have a donut to sit on. I am sure you do right?? Who is cooking you dinner for Thanksgiving?? You need to just lean on the sofa and let them all wait on you!!! You sure do sound miserable. I think what you had done was worse than my neck surgery!!! Have a good Sunday. Its great weather here and hopefully you have the same. Hugs Sandy
