False Alarm! Surgery NEXT week!
I went to my GP for my pre-op only to learn that the drs had moved it to next Wednesday. Because I have been Anemic for so long they want me to have …
I am married with 2 grown daughters and 2 grandchildren. I feel much better now than when I first was diagnosed with RA in 2006, but am still working on finding the right combo and level of meds.

I love to read, play with my grandchildren, gardening, and used to do all kinds of needlework. I love to laugh and enjoy comedy movies - I am a big movie buff. I have two dogs Roxy is an Izberian Hound and American Staffordshire Terrier mix and Thora is a black Labrador and pit bull mix. I am hoping that having Roxy and Thora will encourage me to take walks and play with them and get this body moving! I love cooking (and eating) and enjoy all kinds of music. I like camping and fishing, and sightseeing. I am always interested in making new friends.

My new dr didn't call me until Thursday about the surgery. He had talked to my GP on Wednesday and I guess they had a very long conversation …
Well I met the Colo-rectal specialist this afternoon, he's very nice and my gp speaks very highly of him. I got a nice magazine size pamplet on …

Jilly - hoping that you are doing ok this weekend - I know the waiting is hard. Big hugs,
Lynne
Jilly - thanks for the post to my journal - I know what you mean about a husband being useless - Matt pretty much left everything to me unless he could sit on his butt and do it - and he didn't have a job!
Lynne
Thanks for the post to my journal and big hugs for you! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes well with your surgery. My osteo does not like this weather at all - my knees have been giving my holy hell every morning! Well, compared to the RA pain, I'll take this any day...
Lynne
I sure did enjoy looking at all your pics, very nice~
Keeping you in my thoughts for Wednesday Poppet.
Warm thuoghts and hugs,Owlxxxxxxx
I've had Fibromyalga for about 18 years, back surgery to correct degenerative disk disease, another form of arthritis 19 years ago. Have OA, & was diagnosed with RA in the fall of 2006 and now Gout. Am still in process of finding right level of medications. I also have IBS - its a pain in the - well you know ! Also have Asthma; chemical, environmental, & food allergies; dealing with side effects of surgical menopause. My hair is trying to move from my head to my upper lip! I will not submit!
I've had FM for a long time. Water exercise, laughter, and sleep help me feel better. Usually have trouble sleeping, hard to get to a pool, so I watch comedies and laugh a lot! I also have RA and when one of them acts up it kicks the other into high gear. The combination gives a whole new meaning to hell on earth - ouch!
I was having a lot of pain and indigestion. I had an upper endoscopy and they found the hernia. Truthfully, the pain got much worse after the test. Prilosec keeps it mostly under control. Occasionally I will get an attack of pain and if I can sip some hot water, that seems to relax it and allows me to burp.
I first noticed chronic dry mouth, buring tongue and horrible metallic taste in summer of 2003. Now I must carry water with me everywhere I go. My mouth gets so dry I can't talk or swallow without wetting my mouth first.
The first time I noticed wheezing and having difficulty breathing was when I was on a camping trip, pregnant with my first child at the age of 18
My doc just called and said she thinks I have gout, all in addition to RA, OA, SS and Fibro - can I say enough already!
I started having back pain as a teenager and trouble with my knees. It has gotten worse over the years.I had surgery to correct L4, L5 and S1 degenerative disk disease. Now I am told that I have 75% loss of cartilage in my knees.
