Four Months!! Mood
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 | A Breaking News story

Wow!  Its been four months since I've been on DS and that long since I've updated.  Time flies!!  And I need my DS buddies now more than ever!  I've fallen of the "wagon" and I can't seem to get up.  I haven't gained any weight so much as I've adopted some bad habits!  I can eat just about anything I want and I do eat just about anything I want alot of the time, lately!  In my head I know that its because I've been very depressed!  I've gone to my DR. and she has adjusted my anti-depressant and I am feeling better but the snackies aren't improving with my mood, so to speak!  HELP!!  I do not eat because I am hungry, I think I eat because I am bored.  I am staying home, now and I have alot of time on my hands, not too much with the hobbies and I live in the middle of nowhere!  (Boy!  I miss the city!)  I know what I need to do.... I guess I just need some encouragement from all you DS angels!

I am now the Nana to two grandbabies!  My granddaughter, Aubrey Jayne was born Septemeber 16 at 12:04p, she weighed in at 7lbs 10.6oz and was 21 inches long!  Boy, is she gorgeous!!  Now, I have Mr. Aiden Scott, and Miss Aubrey Jayne to enjoy.

When did you have your surgery? Just keep those grandbabies on your mind and know that you want to be around to see them grow up. The best way to do is to stay healthy. Chin up

I agree with the above comment, use your grandbabies as the reason you need to get back on track, you dont want to miss one moment of them growing up and sure dont wan to gain the weight back so you cant be active with them.

Its a tough job to stay on track. You know what you need to do...you CAN DO it.
Make the decision. Track what your eating...bring yourself right back to the original rules. I don't know you..but I know if you've come this far...you can do it...
    I have faith.
Come here often...this group is great for getting you motivated..Maybe try the 5 day pouch test to get you back on track.
    Best of luck!!

Start back with your food journal, read you original guide information. Also see if you can find a support group meeting to go to. When the snack monster starts getting to you try something on eggfaces's 50 other things to do list. You've done great and you didn't do this to go back to the old habits. I have a three year old grandson and there is NO way I would have been able to keep up with him had I not lost the weight. You want to be able to do that with your grandkids. Being depressed can have a hugh affect on you. Please make sure that you work closely with your doctor, you may find that once you get this under control it will be easier to get back on track. Good luck!!

glad that you have come back to DS for encouragement and words of wisdom! I absolutely love this site!! bad habits are sooo hard to break. I have had a hard time since surgery getting over my mental aspects of food addiction and so i have started photography. it gets me out of the house, isn't expensive once you have a camera and i love to see things through a lens! i keep my pocket size camera on me at all times and when i feel the need to eat or snack i get a sugar free pop and and take a walk outside and look for things to take pictures of! i went to Kodak.com after a fun day of family photos and created a 12 month calendar for each of my family members for Christmas gifts!

Thanks, Marmac03! I love to take pictures, too! That is a wonderful idea! I am expecting to receive a pocket camera any day, now. I may steel your idea. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement!
