\"July is special holiday!\"- my little niece Kayla said that today, during baking friday! :) baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it\'s baking friday!!! :) oh my! a sweet mega awesome Patriotic 4th of July baking friday adventure!!! :) This was so much fun!!! :) We just had an amazingly fun baking friday adventure! :) We made a mess in the kitchen!!! :) hehe! :) There was a FLOUR-WORKS show!!! :) flour flying through the air, like fireworks soaring into the sweet deep blue night time sky!!! :) we love it!!! :) we sure do love our baking friday adventures. :) it\'s such a wonderfully wholesome tradition. :) We always look forward to baking goodies each week, and sharing our adventures with everyone. :) It\'s so very wonderfully special to us. :) we cherish and treasure these very special times. :) keeping with the tradition, today my little niece Kayla and i baked Patriotic themed goodies! :) We baked an American flag themed cake, and stars and stripes Patriotic decorative star cookies. :) this was AWESOME!!! :) It\'s such a wonderfully exciting and fun time of the year. :) It\'s one of the most amazing weeks of the summer season! :) lots of great energy, spirit, and excitement in the air, as we all get ready to celebrate America\'s birthday! :) a very special day. :) it\'s a wonderfully wholesome time of the year, summer time! :) CLASSIC SUMMER!!! :) it\'s the time of the year, as people are out and about, traveling to visit loved ones, lots of great gardening and nature adventures. :) people visiting the beaches, the parks, the wonderful events, festivities, the ice cream truck ring a ding dingling bring sweet cool treats, lots of great memories being made for us all to keep. :) all of the wonderful energy, excitement, and spirit in the air, is surrounded by sweet deep blue summer sky, and the sweet golden beams!!! of sunshine! :) it\'s the time of the year, when you can feel that summer air flowing through windows, as you walked outside, the fresh crisp summer air! :) Lots of wonderful times, BBQ cookouts, swimming, and fireworks shows aplenty! :) there\'s so many wonderful things to enjoy each and every day! :) Summer is SWEET!!! :) We\'ve got summer fever!!! :) You can feel it in the air!!! :) With the upcoming wonderful 4th of July holiday, for the 2nd straight year, Kayla and i had a super fun 4th of July baking friday celebration!!! :) i have a very special shoutout to my lovely mom. :) She\'s so very wonderful! :) She went to the grocery store last evening, and picked up all of our baking friday supplies. :) awww! :) A very special thank you to my lovely mom! :) after we finished baking today, i thanked my mom again for helping make baking friday possible. :) last weekend i bought some Patriotic 4th of July themed decoratives. :) Kayla and i love decorating the kitchen for our baking friday adventures. :) Since she\'s on summer vacation, she is able to help decorate the kitchen. :) early this morning, waking up to the wonderful excitement of the arrival of baking friday! :) our favorite day of the week! :) we\'ve been looking forward to baking some Patriotic themed goodies. :) it\'s such a wonderfully special holiday. :) my family and i have a very special shoutout, and thank you, to all of our brave troops, who have served our country in the past, and who currently are serving our country. :) We thank you so very much, for all that you do for us, to help keep us free, to keep the American flag waving so very beautifully in the air. :) Your wonderful bravery, courage, and your strength, can always be felt throughout the land. :) we thank you! :) We\'re so very proud to be Americans. :) mid-morning, we began to set up the kitchen for our super fun Patriotic 4th of July baking friday adventure. :) oh my! oh boy!!! :) one of our favorite things about baking friday, is decorating, setting up our kitchen! :) we love to decorate!!! :) it\'s so much fun! :) i began bringing everything out into the kitchen. :) The excitement in the air, is so very amazingly incredible! :) i brought my American flag hat out into the kitchen, Kayla wore the hat! :) aww! :) She was smiling and smiling! :) i took picture of Kayla wearing the hat. :) Kayla designed our American flag hat! :) She\'s so very creative! :) i cleared side counter, and brewed some dunkin donuts coffee. :) oh my! :) That sweet scent of the coffee brewing! :) it\'s awesome!!! :) i made an iced coffee. :) it\'s delicious! :) i got a little creative with my iced coffee this week! :) i put real blueberries in my iced coffee to make a homemade blueberry iced coffee. :) i love it!!! :) Kayla and i began to decorate the kitchen! :) we put the American flag she colored on the counter, and we put American flag banners on our cupboards. :) at the dollar store, i bought some American flag paper plants, we put some on the counter. :) we were having so much fun decorating!!! :) i mentioned to my family that many friends all over the world, are baking goodies. :) It warms our hearts, and makes us smile. :) After we decorated the kitchen, i took a picture of our baking friday display. :) it came out great! :) Kayla went outside to play, and i began to prepare my lunch. :) today for lunch, i had the rest of my wonton soup i ordered last evening, and i also had a baked cheese tortilla wrap, and a blueberry muffin! :) lunch was delicious! :) Kayla came back inside the house. :) i said, \"are you ready to bake!\" :) She said, \"i am!\" :) awww! :) i wore the aprons that my friend Arlene, and that my lovely ds mum (bloss) sent me, and i used the oven mits that my ds mum (bloss) sent me, that my ds sis Jennay (listless) sent me, that my ds brother Taino and ds sis Cyn sent me, that my friend Rita sent me, that my friend Danielle (blustargazr) sent me, that my sister Jenn and Jeremy gave me, that my friend Julia (jmk1973) sent me, that my friends Bryan (revbry) and his wife Lisa sent me, and i used the sunflower towels that my friends Gerri (gjones) and Linda (butterfly888) and Bryan and Lisa sent me, and towel that my friend Maria (Love4You) sent me, and apple towel that my friend Danielle sent me and the halloween towel my friend Dee (DeeKorn13) sent me and halloween pumpkin towel that my friend Maria sent me, towel that my friend Lori (KeepHoldingOn) snowman towels that my lovely friends Dee, Audrey, and Deb, sent me and Santa towels that my friend Maria sent me, and football towel that my friend Deb sent me, the happy smiley face and cool dude towels that my lovely friend Emma (ZenEm) sent me, and used the pot holders that my friends Maria, Julia, Bryan, and Lisa and Audrey and Lori sent me and football pot holders that my friend Deb sent me and the cafe kitchen set (oven mit, pot holder, towel) that Maria sent me. :) i use my baking friday diary that my lovely friend Jean (jeaninalabama) sent me to write baking friday notes. :) You all are with us in spirit, during baking friday. :) You all are wonderful, and make baking friday so very extra special. :) we were all gathered around, this was awesome!!! :) i told my family everyone\'s wonderful happy baking friday wishes. :) awww! :) You all are so very wonderful! :) i texted friends to wish them a happy baking friday. :) The kitchen was all set, the cookie monsters were ready! :) oh my! :) The flour was ready to fly through the air!!! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) it\'s time to bake! bake! bake! :) We began the flour-works show, by beginning to bake the American flag cake! :) today, we baked an angel food cake. :) It\'s very easy to prepare the cake. :) just the cake mix, and 1 and 1/4 cups of water. :) Kayla poured the water into the bowl with the cake mix, and she stirred the cake mix. :) She\'s a great helper! :) She loves to help! :) i used butter to grease the cake pan. :) We added the cake mix into the pan. :) The oven was nice and ready, all warmed up and ready to bake some goodies! :) i put the cake food cake into the oven, to bake! bake! bake! :) Kayla and i were talking about baking friday, and future baking friday adventures. :) next friday, we\'re gonna have a very special happy birthday baking friday adventure for Kayla, a Hannah Montana themed baking friday adventure. :) She\'s so very happy and excited about her birthday! :) awww! :) with the angel food cake baking, we began to make the sugar cookies. :) we LOVE sugar cookies! :) i said to Kayla, \"pick out the best egg ever!\" :) awww! :) She opened the fridge and selected an egg. :) great selection Kayla! :) it\'s so very special to her, getting to select the egg. :) i remember when i was a kid, and i got to select the eggs when my mom and sister Lisa and i baked goodies. :) We love baking goodies! :) We began adding the ingredients to the bowl. :) Kayla said, \"i\'m a sugar cookie monster!\" :) hehe! :) So cute! :) She loves those sugar cookies! :) keeping with the tradition!!! :) oh my!!! i\'m covered in flour!!! hehe! :) a great tradition we always enjoy, we love to get flour on our hands, and we clap our hands, flour goes flying all over the place! :) hehe! :) We created our very own flour-works show in the kitchen!!! :) hehe! :) We love it!!! :) Kayla got me good! :) hehe! :) i got flour all over my face, hair, my shirt, my arm! hehe! :) great baking friday fun. :) We were sharing lots of smiles and laughs. :) Kayla and i stirred the cookie dough, we love to add extra butter to the sugar cookies, we love extra buttery sugar cookies! :) Kayla put some flour on the cutting board, and we then kneaded the sugar cookie dough. :) Kayla and i then used the star cookie cutter, and made star shaped cookies! :) We were talking about the 4th of July. :) we were so very into this! :) The wonderful holiday celebration! :) Kayla said, \"July is a special holiday\" :) awww! :) So cute! :) hehe! :) i used butter to grease the baking pan, and put some cookies onto the pan, and put the pan into the oven, to bake! :) oh my! angel food cake, and sugar cookies baking! :) the sweet scent of the goodies! :) it\'s so very nice! :) the goodies were baking nicely, we did notice though on the right side of the cake, it was very thin. The cake baked nicely, i brought it out of the oven to cool down, and since we had some extra angel food cake mix, we added the extra mix to another baking pan, and baked the extra, and when it finished baking, we put the extra cake in that right hand corner of the cake, to make the cake even. :) The cake was cooling down. :) friends and i were texting during baking friday. :) it\'s like we all are baking together. :) baking friday celebration!!! :) Kayla and i prepared the cake and cookies decoratives. :) my mom got some blueberries and strawberries at the store, and frosting too. :) we were setting up our decoratives. :) we washed the strawberries, and i sliced the strawberries into thin slices, and we then added some blueberries to the platre. :) We have lots of extra blueberries and strawberries. :) gonna have some sweet ice cream treats with fruit and cool whip. :) my mom picked up some cool whip at the store too. :) The cookies were baking nicely, the first batch finished baking, i brought the cookies out of the oven to cool down, and put another batch of star cookies into the oven to bake. :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) We baking goodies! :) this was only the beginning!!! :) Kayla and i then prepared the frostings for the Patriotic stars and stripes cookies. :) we made red, white, and blue frosting. :) We put the frostings into plastic baggies to make homemade cookie decorators. :) the 2nd batch of cookies finished baking, i brought them out of the oven to cool down. :) Earlier Kayla saw me putting blueberries in my iced coffee, and she said, \"hey, put a strawberry in your coffee!\" hehe! :) i said, \"ok ok! You got it!\" hehe! :) lots of great baking friday fun! :) as the goodies were cooling down, we took a little break. :) Kayla\'s mom said the ice cream truck was coming! :) Kayla went outside and got some ice cream, and played outside for a little while. :) lots of great summer time memories being made. :) Kayla came back in, we were all set and ready to decorate!!! :) we love decorating cakes and cookies. :) it\'s so much fun!!! :) Kayla and i decorated the American flag cake. :) we first spread cool whip onto the angel food cake, we then used blueberries as the stars on the cake. :) After we added the blueberries, we then used the sliced strawberries to make red stripes on the cake. :) the cake came out great! :) we were so very happy and excited!!! :) everyone was gathering around, checking the cake! :) we love these sweet baking friday moments! :) this is AWESOME!!! :) Kayla and i then decorated the Patriotic stars and stripes cookies. :) we used the cake decorators, we went around each cookie with red frosting, then white frosting, and then blue frosting. :) oh my! they came out great!!! :) everyone saw the cookies, they said, \"those look very nice!\" :) awww! :) we were smiling and smiling, and still are! :) this is so much fun!!! :) we had so much fun baking an American flag cake and Patriotic stars and stripes cookies. :) We have many great memories from our baking friday adventures, to always cherish and treasure. :) i cleaned the kitchen, and thanked my little niece Kayla for helping. :) i said, \"baking friday! :) cool dude!\" :) She smiled! :) awww! :) i also thanked my mom again for helping make baking friday possible. :) i put the rest of the plain star shaped sugar cookies on an American flag paper plate, and gave the cookies to Kayla. :) She loves sugar cookies! :) we\'re gonna enjoy the sweet treats! :) We\'re ready for the BIG 4th of JULY CELEBRATION!!! :) Lots of great things to look forward too. :) We love our baking friday adventures, and are already looking forward to our next baking friday adventure. :) We\'re cruising toward our 100th baking friday adventure on August 14th, my great niece Taylynn\'s birthday! :) lots of super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too. :) next week, we\'re gonna bake a Hannah Montana guitar cake for Kayla\'s birthday! :) the week after that, we\'re gonna have a deep into the forest campfire themed baking friday adventure, and the week after that, we\'re gonna sail out to the sweet blue sea, and gonna have a sweet beach themed baking friday adventure! :) a summer of baking friday celebrations!!! :) we are so very happy and excited!!! :) family and friends joined in the baking friday fun this week! :) my mom made American chop suey and my mom and sister Jenn baked stuffed chicken! our friend Deb (stardust) baked 4th of July muffins, and made a meal for dinner! our friend Jennay (listless) made 4th of July muffins, and potato salad and fruit salad! our friend Stephanie (coolgal) mentioned that she is going to make a meal for the 4th of July! our friend Danielle (blustargazr) and her boyfriend Andy (Andybug) made ginger cookies! our friend Cj (ddeadred) mentioned that she\'s baking zuchinni bread! our friend Barbara (grace90) baked zuchinni bread! our friend Mace (Mace1979) and her family baked cinnamon rolls! our friend Carolyn (Cypher) baked chocolate chip cookies! our friend Corrina (Rowan) baked chocolate chip cookies! our friend Claudia (ClaudiaD) and her daughter Bethie are making a watermelon boat for their 4th of July celebration!
