I love being outdoors--camping, hiking, climbing, etc. When stuck in the city, though, I like going to concerts, plays, etc, playing my violin, and cooking. And crossword puzzles! I do the New York Times puzzle almost every day; though admittedly, I have to look up a lot of things to have any chance at finishing Saturday puzzles. I also love to laugh (fav tv shows: scrubs, south park, and the office). People seem to think I have a dark sense of humor, which I suppose isn't too surprising, as I study dead animals for a living...

Hey haven't heard from you in a while. Just dropping by to say hi. How's everything going?
Good job on the hypoglycemic diet
Thanks so much!
I added to my journal. I will be deleting friends ONLY for privacy issues...so don't be upset, You ARE on my list should I come back. Love YA!!!!
I've been struggling with hypoglycemia for about 2.5 years now. For a long time, I had no idea why I was feeling so awful, and none of the doctors I went to (including gps, gastroenterologists, headache specialists, rheumatologists and psychiatrists) could figure it out. Finally, after a lot of research on my own, I started on a hypoglycemic diet in March 2007. I improved dramatically within a couple weeks, but progress has slowed since then, and I'm still working towards complete health.
I'm hypoglycemic, and so must be very careful about what I eat--no starchy foods like white flour or potatoes, and very little sugar. I love to bake, though, and am always looking for/developing recipes that fit within these constraints.
Was diagnosed with CFS in fall of 2006. I later discovered that I'm hypoglycemic, and since changing my diet, I've gotten much better.
