I got back my MRI results from 4/25 and compiled all the years together for a survey.
Decided to post the Impressions of them:
06/20/02 BRAIN, OPEN: BIHEMISPHERIC LARGELY PERIVENTRICULAR SIGNAL ABNORMALITY ALSO INVOLVING THE CONVEXITY WHITE MATTER BILATERALLY MOST CONSISTENT WITH DEMYELINATION/MS.
07/10/02 CERVICAL: Patient is being recalled for additional thin sections through these regions for confirmation. Minimal cervical spondylosis with mild foraminal narrowing, right greater than left at C3-4.
07/17/02 LUMBAR: L5-S1 degenerative changes and minimal foraminal narrowing. There is questionable slight anterior listhesis of L5 on S1. CT scan with stack transaxial images from the mid body of L4 through the mid body S1 may be helpful for further evaluation.
07/24/02 THORACIC: Abnormal signal in the T5 vertebral body. Further evaluation is recommended.
07/24/02 CERVICAL RECALL: Two lesions of abnormal signal within the upper cervical spinal cord as described.
07/31/02: Official MS DX
08/08/02 THORACIC RECALL: Abnormal signal in T5 would be consistent with a focal area of sclerosis.
08/19/02 LUMBAR CT SCAN: There is a spina bifida occulta of S1.
01/14/03 BRAIN, OPEN: MILD PERIVENTRICULAR T2 SIGNAL ABNORMALITY IS CONSISTENT WITH DEMYELINATING DISEASE. THERE HAS BEEN NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE WHEN COMPARED WITH THE PRIOR STUDY.
04/17/03: Started LDN 3.0 MG
08/16/04 BRAIN, 1st CLOSED: NEW 7 MM LATERAL RIGHT PERIATRIAL WHITE MATTER LESION NOT PRESENT (open MRI) 1/03. PERIVENTRICULAR AND MULTIFOCAL BIHEMISPHERIC SIGNAL ABNORMALITY ARE OTHERWISE UNCHANGED.
04/19/07 BRAIN: BIHEMISPHERIC WHITE MATTER ABNORMALITY CONSISTENT WITH DEMYELINATION/MS. NO CHANGE COMPARED TO 8/04. NO ABNORMAL ENHANCEMENT.
04/20/07 CERVICAL: CERVICAL CORD SIGNAL ABNORMALITY CENTERED AT C2 AND C3 CONSISTENT WITH DEMYELINATION/MS. NO ACCOMPANYING ABNORMAL ENHANCEMENT.
04/20/07 THORACIC: NORMAL MRI OF THE THORACIC SPINE. (T5 issue gone?)
04/25/08 BRAIN & UPPER CERVICAL: SUPRATENTORIAL BIHEMISPHERIC ABNORMAL SIGNAL FOCI CONSISTENT WITH DEMYELINATION/MS. THE FINDINGS REMAIN UNCHANGED COMPARED TO 4/07.
FAINT INCREASED SIGNAL ON THE FLAIR SEQUENCE WITHIN THE CERVICAL CORD AT C2 AND C3 IS BELIEVED TO BE UNCHANGED COMPARED TO THE PRIOR MRI CERVICAL SPINE 4/07.

12 MRI's, 1 CT scan. 2 were Brain MRIs in OPEN machines, 3 Brain MRIs in CLOSED machines.

Read through this medical report & I can't quite figure out what it means. Would you be able to breifly tell me? I have not had an MRI in about 10yrs & don't even see a neuro. But I've taken LDN for months & have had some improvements, although small.

basically they say since 6/02 I have MS, only progression seen was going from Open to Closed, otherwise my brain is stable, NO progression. My T5 healed. My C2,3,4 remained unchanged too.

Wow, Larry, I'm really amazed. My neuro told me yesterday to stop taking Rebif until the liver test improves. I'm going to ask her to prescribe me LDN next month. I really want to try that stuff. I can't wait til I try it. Peace always
