I found out any doctor can treat you for narcolepsy, what I mean by that, they dont have to be a neurologist, to treat narcolepsy, they have to be board certified, in other words, its a test they take, then there approved to treat us. My doctor, is an internest. And I would never change doctors. He's helped me greatly. My advice to you would be to call around to physician offices, and ask if they are board certified to treat narcolepsy. It is a larger field to choose from,

Was falling asleep driving about a year ago. Sought out medical treatment. Through multiple tests, I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy, sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome. Things are still not straightened out. Am currently on medical leave from work and not allowed to drive. Don't know anything about my diseases. Am very emotional and frustrated. Have a 2 year old and a 4 year old to raise with my husband. It's very hard and exhausting. I don't know how to accept all this and handle it all.
I have a son who's going to be 5 soon and we have a lot of struggling with discipline between us. He doesn't listen to me at all and I end up yelling at him most of the day. He is very bright and has been rasied mostly around adults.
Have a 2 year old girl that is high energy, very bright, strong willed and stubborn. Have a hard time handling her. Don't have a lot of energy myself to deal with her.
I have had RLS for probably most of my life but have been diagnosed with it for about a year and a half now. I've been on Requip and Melatonin since the beginning and they're wonderful.
Hi! I have been battling depression since I was a teenager. They told me recently that I didn't have depression. That it was the narcolepsy. Now a psychologist says I have depression with biopolar genes. Something about not having true bipolar but carrying the genes affecting me.
Just diagnosed with iron deficient anemia. They didn't tell me how I got it though. They say this is why I have the restless leg syndrome.
I've had back pain since forever. I remember back as far as 16 so...recently told I have 3 mildly bulging discs in my lower back and 1 in my neck. All my life I've gone to chiropractors and if I went to a new one, they did they're x-rays first and always thought I had scoliosis until they adjusted me and I was just that far out of place.
I can trace back to 16 with neck, shoulder, back, hips, knees, generally whole body pain. They say it's genetic and I just have a weak back. Dislocated my knee when I was 16 but that was from a birth defect we didn't know about. Never been right since. My back is always out of place. My hips walk themselves out of place regularly and I can reach up for something and my shoulder blades will go out. I have sneezed and had my back go out. Haven't found a permanent fix yet.
I have hemiplegic migraines. I don't get the headache part. I get stroke type symptoms including facial or whole body numbness, paralyzation of entire body, slurred speech, dizziness, nausea, decreased balance and coordination. These attacks come out of nowhere & can last a couple hours to a couple days. My worst one so far went to complete numbness & paralization of my body & wore off in a couple hours. They gave me this diagnosis because the MRI's kept coming up negative. Anyone heard of this?
