Journal Entry for November 15, 2008
I'm getting better.
I have been married 23 years to an amazing woman and have 2 great teenagers. Since my diagnosis of Parkinson's in 2002, I was forced to retire from the high pressure job that I could no longer keep up with. I work from home and love it. I had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at Barrow's in Phoenix in April 2008 and that worked perfectly for PD. (see My Goals section - Get Back To Functional -->) Update: I was just officially diagnosed with DRD (dystonia) disguised as PD. More medications and maybe more surgery.

I love doing yoga daily at church, watching movies, going to church as much as I can, doing Photoshows (creating high end DVD slide shows) especially for graduates, grandparents and special birthdays, assisting others with their computer issues and mostly hanging, playing games and vacationing with friends and family.

I was diagnosed with Dystonia last year but I thought the doctor was wrong. He was correct and we are working to get the DBS settings to help.
