hi . . . i have tried various 12-step programs and they just make me feel more like drinking and drugging. i hate being in a wheelchair but a stroke put me here probably 4 life. i am very lonely as u might guess

I was sober for 11 years until I relasped for 1 year and 9 months. I tried but only got a couple days dry. On april 4th 2009 I had a stroke. I haven't had a drink since. I need to be there for my daughter and I feel like this is my second chance.
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- I haven't started working the steps yet. I am trying to find a sponsor.
- AA Meetings Working / Worked
- I did more than 90 in 90. While I was on leave from work I went to meetings everyday. I feel like it helped.
Close Mortgages & Foreclosures
My house is in forclosure and the sale date keeps getting extended. Today I got paperwork in the mail saying that my modifacation is approved. My payment is only about $100 less but they added all the money I am behind on to the principle. I hope this works.
Open Stroke
I had a stroke in the back of my brain on April 4th of this year. The doctors said it was a moderate stroke. Mostly my balance is affected. They said that I am lucky that I didn't have more damage. I am only 35.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I am on Coumadin for 3 to 6 months to help disolve the blood clot in the back of my neck.
