Matthew West has been one of the main artists that truly gives me strength when I feel weak. Today has been a challenge- temptations, frustrations, irritation. I feel like I have not ever properly dealt with two very important issues: "patience" and "forgiveness." I typically take anything someone said or did that might have hurt me, and quickly tuck it away inside. I believe I am "strong enough" to deal with those emotions on my own- I don't ask for help to forgive myself or others; I refuse to call on Him for patience when I feel like exploding.
This song has particular meaning after going to the grocery store on a simple cigarette run, which turned into a dreadful nightmare. In the line ahead of me was a crying baby- no, a screaming baby, that sounded like it was being murdered. It must have only been a week old, the way it was screaming. It sounded like a loud Macaw on crack, that was being slowly tortured. Sorry, morbid image
But anyway, my blood began boiling. I got home, and after hearing "The Motions" by Matthew West, I decided to check out "Get Away." And now, I must share. I think it truly applies:

I'm proud of you for recognizing the issues you have to work on. Forgiveness is a big one for me too. Just keep praying about it. The Lord will never leave your side even if it seems like it sometimes. hugs
