One advantage of getting old is that whatever the world has to hand me at this point, it is just going to have to hand me. The Irish in me looks for the worst case scenario; It could always be worse, so yay me. Murphy's law works for me too. Look for all the bad stuff that could happen and when it does, Ha! I knew it and I was ready for it. If it doesn't, what a great day! A sort of perverted view, but it works for me.
I don't know if it is surrendering or just being too tired to get worked up, but either way, it's way better. Not waiting for the other shoe to drop any more. I know it's going to and I don't care. I'm ready for it, and if it doesn't, yay me!

You ain't old till your dead.. Being part Irsh isn't negative is is just that you like beef stew and turnips. I think what you are saying is your too tired to fight. But I think you realize your are spending too much time energy on something that doesn't do you any good. Now do something good for you. Take small steps.
