Well, here it is practially mid July already! Summer heat, tropical weather, looming possiblity of hurricanes for the next five months and I find I  am  HAPPY!

It makes me feel happy to be able to enjoy even the most miserable of conditions here where I live, simply because there's always the possibility of something,somewhere else  worse than what I have in my own back yard! I am thankful that even though the heat is ridiculous, the rain is always on it's way or here or the humidity is high; I have eyes to see things with, senses to smell and hear things with, and the ability to speak, taste and feel the things important in life!

I have seen the deaths of those I love mulitply over the past few years, and I know just how mortal life is and I am ever aware that it's a GIFT from GOD that allows me to still be here though others are not anymore! I have  many memories, stories and fond moments to sustain me through those losses, and the knowledge that each moment given for the life I am blessed with is precious and priceless! I would say that HAPPY is probably an understatement! Happiness is the price I get to pay for the blessing I'm bestowed for living my life with all of it's ups and downs, and the knowledge that when my number comes up, I'll have had lots in my time here to be HAPPY ABOUT!
