Journal Entry for September 9, 2007
Well, school and all its responsibilities has truly geared up. I'm now in the third week, but it feels like the third month--did summer …
Until recently, I would not admit (even after being diagnosed) that I have issues (compulsive overeating and bipolar II). Now, I will accept help (reticently) and give help (generously and to the best of my ability). I'm a college student going into my senior year--the "real" world and its responsibilities are near, and I want to be able to handle both better, with a healthier, happier life.

The support on this site truly brightens my day :)
I haven't been good about keeping up with others' journals, and will be sure to set …
First off, thanks for the hugs & support.
Now that I've cycled through (3 days of depression and binging and some laxatives), I can see things …
So, I haven't checked in for awhile. I had to pack for and move into college. So far, knock on wood, things are going well. I had …

How are things going??? Just checking in with you....
Until about 7 years ago, I was fit, healthy, and happy. Then I developed bipolar II. Now, I am a compulsive overeater. Recently, I lost 30 lbs, only to gain 15 back. I've returned to bad habits that I formed over the past 7 years. I hope this support network will help me lose 15-20 lbs in these coming months (maybe another 10 to hit the middle of the healthy range for my height and age) and, this time, keep it off and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I was diagnosed with bipolar II a year ago. My psychiatrist has helped me with the meds, but I still have so many questions about it. I hope that I can learn from others' experiences and advice.
I think that the hardest part is knowing what good choices are, but feeling incapable to make them. I used to be very active and involved in sports and exercise. For the past 7 years, I've been dealing with some issues and am only recently getting back to an active, healthy lifestyle.
Just because I know what good choices are doesn't mean that I make them. I am interested in health and fitness and will gladly give what advice I can Hopefully we can coach one another and share what works and does not.
I'm a compulsive over-eater with bad habits. I feel so ashamed when I binge, but can't stop it. Sometimes, I'll buy food, binge on it, then smuggle the trash out before others can see it and judge me. I broke those habits for awhile, lost 30 lbs, only to return to them and gain 15 back. I hope to offer and receive support and stories. And lose those extra 15 pounds plus 5-10.
