Good for you!!! I will ask my Dr. too! anything is a good thing!
Awannabe you have made my day and given me hope!!
Thinking of you...
My daughter has had lymphedema in her left leg since age 11. She's now 25. No one else in the family that we know of has it, and yet, I'm sure it wasn't talked about in my great-grandparents time, and easy to hide then with long dresses. So we don't know. But she does have primary congenital lymphedema. Rosie doesn't do anything for it except wear the compression stocking all day, and fortunately, it's less swollen now. It's interesting to me that there are others who have had the onset at about puberty. When was the onset of your lymphedema?
hope you okay .
I am an adult child of alcoholics. Both my parents were alcoholics while I was growing up. My family also moved constantly. As a way to cope with the constant turmoil and losses I started writing at the age of 11. I also married a marijuana addict with OCD.
I have conductive hearing loss in both ears due to frequent ear infections as a child. In 2006 I had a cholesteatoma grow in my right eardrum and eat away the incus and stapes bones. I lost all of my hearing in that ear. In December I had a partial mastoidectomy, and had my eardrum repaired and, the stapes and incus replaced. I have hearing aids for both ears but cannot wear the one for the right ear due to risk of infection because of moisture builds up.
I have Primary Lymphedema Type 2, Meige's disease. It affects my left leg. Onset was at age 15.
I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago after going 9 months without a period. I struggle with acne, high blood pressure, irregular periods, hiratuism, and high cholesterol.
I suffer from depression from time to time. I think mostly it has to do with codependency and self esteem issues.
I was abused by my uncle when I was 6-7. I don't remember much and wish to keep it that way.
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2004 at the age of 30.
