My neuro's office called and said that my appointment would have to be rescheduled. The receptionist said that the doctor needed to take some time to care for her father. Being a father myself, I approved of her motivation.
So that gave me more time to tinker with things. Nothing too physical, that just gets me in trouble, but something was going to get tinkered with.
I settled on my laptop. I had noticed that it was quite a bit slower than my wife's new laptop and decided to find out why. Well, it turns out that my wife's computer has more ram than mine. ( More Ram?....surely not!) Something had to be done.
Soooo, I went to the local electronics store and bought more ram. It was a snap to install. You just slid out the old one and slid in the new. Now my laptop is much faster than it was. Cool beans.
Be well, Tom

The Doc called with the lab results and it's good news. It turns out that three of the polyps were precancerous but were benign. What a relief. I guess I was a little more nervous than I thought. I hae to get another olonoscopy in three years because I am a little high risk but the doc thinks if I follow through with the testing, then eeryone thing will be all right.
Phew,
Tom
I had the dreaded colonoscopy yesterday. They did find a few polyps and now we await word from the lab but the G.I. doc didn't seem too concerned. I'm just happy that it's over.
Next up, the neuro doc. We shall see what fun stuff she has in mind. Actually I have sort of learned to come to terms with the neuro problems. They only affect my balance if I'm not careful and my fine motor skills are bad ( I can't fill out forms by hand and sometimes I still drop things but I've found that if I hold things by the bottom then I don't have the dropping problem...or at least not as much.)
However ,on the plus side, my thinking ability hasn't been diminished, my legs work just fine, my energy level is up (except for the last day or so. The colonoscopy stressed the ol' bod I guess.Because of the asthma and the VCD, I had to have the procedure at the hospital. ) But I'm starting to feel like my old self again.
I am so relieved that the test wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Even the prep the day before wasn't as bad bad as I thought. I just chugged it down every ten minutes as instructed and it did it's job.
Still recovering but feeling better,
Tom

Wow! Impressed with your techy prowess. What was a snap for you is a major undertaking for me! So...I'm outguessing you have more Ram than your wife. Uh, right?
