I can't BELIEVE Madigan will be one in less than a month... Amazing, mind blowing, sad and happy all at the same time. I miss the little, wrinkly newborn. But I L-O-V-E my daughter as she grows, and gets such a sassy personality. I love how she's so independent, courageous, and outgoing. She loves to wave and say "hi" to strangers, smiling and cooing her way into people's hearts. She has amazing blue eyes, and even strangers stop to comment on how beautiful they are. I love how she claps, plays peek-a-boo, and wrinkles her little nose and squints her eyes when you tell her "no". I love that she is learning sign language- and surprises me every day with new things she has learned. Everyone laughs at how, when you talk to her, she says "yup" or "yah!" and nods her head in agreement, as if she has some idea of what you're telling her. I prayed for a miracle in the form of a baby, and God answered my prayers in more ways than I can ever know. 

So that's my mommy-love for the day.

We've been planning a first b-day party. So far, it's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" themed, planned for 2pm on July 4th, and we're serving all the foods that the caterpillar ate his way through in the book. The cake is a bundt-cake that is cut into thirds and placed end-to-end all caterpillar-style, covered in green frosting and a red head. I am looking forward to it- I can't believe she has been here one year! :) Honestly, it makes me want another one... but financially, that would not be a wise choice right now. We're gonna wait a while until we can bank a little extra cash! Those little buggers are expensive! :)  

So that's all the news I have for now. I feel like a terrible friend, being so busy that I don't have much time to journal. I get on DS about once a week to read my friends updates, and try to keep up on everyone's happenings!
