And I am now down to 2 meds, Betaseron and Provigil and …

Dxed with MS 8/22/02, I am raising my 9 year old grandson.Have 3 grown children Son 30, 2 daughters 27 & 25, and have three dogs. I am retired from the State of PA. I was a envioromental services manager in a Veterans Hospital and before that I was in nursing. Taking Betaseron.

thank you for adding this post....i sent it strait to my wonderful Dad who is my lifeline and i know it breaks his heart every day. This may help him understand....and others realize that its not all in their heads. Regardless of what doctors and sometimes family and friends make us believe. Heck sometimes our minds play that trick by itself. This lays it out black and white... kudos

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSWas dxed 5 years ago this August 22.I am currently having a MS attack 1st one since being dxed
Treatments
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- Has helped with spasms
- Betaseron Working / Worked
- Took it for the first 3 1/2 years then stopped on my own . I am now back on it for about a month because MS has worsen and I beleive it was because I stopped the med.
- Gabapentin Working / Worked
- still have some burning
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Started 01/2008 working, has helped alot with all the tightness caused from last attack.
- Provigil Working / Worked
- Just started back up 11/28/07 Working with tiredness
- Rebif Working / Worked
- took it for 2 months and had really bad injection sight reactions no longer taking
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- My first exeperience was just about a week ago and I do not feel any better and have worse symptoms from the MS (7/17-7/19/07
- Zanaflex Somewhat Helpful
- Take 4mg at bedtime only works for 2 hours
