I have been ill for 20 years and diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ortostatic intolerance, "weak adrenals" among other things.  Since low adrenal function is associated with CFS I'm not sure how to tell if I have Addison's.  AM cortisol levels pre- and post- ACTH injections were never very remarkable.  Recent new symptoms seem to indicate that I might have Addison's along with other illnesses.  I've been getting much worse the past year - significant weight loss, loss of interest in food, hyperpigmentation, feel faint all the time, weak, crawl up the stairs on all fours,  etc.

I still work one day/wk as a registered dietitian, but that is all I can do and I am barely hanging onto that right now.  Used to run, bike, ski, swim, etc.  Was fine until I finished grad school and moved to Colorado.  Don't know what happened to me.  Now taking a shower is exhausting.  I have been using low doses of Cortef and Florinef, but those don't even seem to help much anymore. 

I am interested in hearing from others who have been diagnosed.  Any good adrenal endocrinologists in Denver?  Is there a support group for Addison's in Denver?
