I am the father of a 16 year old boy who suffers profound cerebral palsy. I am hoping to join this group to share ideas and find support from people in the same circumstances. Hi, officially my son's diagnosis is 'cerebral palsy,' but he does have many symptoms which fall within the autistic spectrum. - For instance he has massive problems with sensory oversensitivity. I was just hoping to join to share experiences and to pick out any interesting bits of information within the group.

      Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Not Working
      Early Intervention Not Working
Facilitated Communication Too Soon to Tell

      Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
Tried programmes based on the 'sensory-motor patterning' and 'sensory-integration' approaches, including IAHP in Philadeplphia. - Some neg, - some pos experiences.
