I am a RN and have a twin sister who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatitis, She has been hospitalized twice since she had her gallbladder removed 9 months ago. She has chronic pain and we don't know where to turn with what she should eat, chronic constipation now and will probably need a ERCP in Chicago to check the ducts. Any help from someone who knows... would be great.

Hi Pat, I am doing OK, they just put me on the patch because I kept on trying to lower my dosage of pain meds and of course it didn't work. So I am going through the level of how much med is enough. How is your sister, is she doing good? I have been praying for her and was wondering. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Nancy
Thank you. I am gathering up all the positive vibes I can get. Julie
Thank you I knew you would be there. I hope your sister is doing well, not everyone has to succumb to this disease.
Hi, I'm just starting this community. I have a twin sister who was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis after her first time in the hospital. She had gallbladder surgery 9 months ago. At that time they found she has a genetic problem. A malformation of the pancreas. Anyway, she now has pancreatitis.. They tell us that she will need to go to a Unicersity hospital to have a ERCP to check the ducts. She does not have alot of help from doctors or dietician's here. I'm looking for help.
Hi, my twin sister was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She had a Whipple and now is on chemo. I take her for chemo weekely. I'm scared to death that the cancer will come back. She gets Cat scans and MRI's Q 3 months. She goes to a University setting. She is not on a trial yet. My sister had a genetic defect of the pancreas called a divisium.
