Journal Entry for July 31, 2007
Well this this is so much a roller coaster. One day up one day down. Sooo tired. But one thing I know for sure, I'm not alone!! and that's so …
I'm married with 2 children who're married and we have 4 grandchildren, 2 of each. In 2005 I developed a blood clot in the Main vein that drains the gut. It completely blocked the vein and as a result I had to have 5 feet of small intestine (small bowel) removed. As well as that I also have developed Chronic Liver Disease. I have ongoing issues with very loose stools, fatigue and headaches. I'm a lady of faith and prayer & firmly believe there's always someone worse off than myself!

In 2005 I had surgery to remove 1.5 m (5 feet) of small bowel due to a blood clot. Since then my LFT's have been elevated and recently was diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease most likely NAFLD. I also have antibodies to Hepatitis A. I'm on a very restricted diet being very cautious with fats. I have on going LFT's (GGT = 277 U/L normal is 0-36) and I go back to surgeon if it doesn't drop by next test in a month.
Had DVT after birth of second son which developed into Pulmonary Embolism. Then clot in placenta after birth of third son. In 2005 clot in Superior Mesenteric Vein resulting in small bowel resection.
