I am not able to work because of my health problems, walk with a walker. 42 years old I have 4 sisters, I write a journal of what I do and what affects me and what goes on in the world that affects me. Hey there lady :)! I just went and read a bit of your health stuff! whoa. need to stay quit honey!:) please stay quit a day at a time! its so worth it! I KNBPW how hard it is! Ive qquit beofre as well! to be honest I nevr lasted 6 mo before! (since i was 13) nad I cut down when I was pregnant, I admit (sheepishly!) I still smoked! That was back when they didnt say dont sm0ke! I shoulda known better! I was a young teen Mom though! 15, 17 1st 2 kids! How are you doing not smoking right now? (((HUGS)))) Jess

Hi, I used a variety, but basically cold turkey. Im having to re type this response to share re: quitting!! in last few days! If you are on my pals list, you cann go in and read my journals frm July to August, yoyy will see most of my methods! & process. I dont knwop if i actually locke ddown all my journals? but also I wrote a bucnh on MYspace page. There is a link to cold turkey quitting and tops if you want it? or did you already quit?! Diabetis,then diagnosed with sever fibrmylagia and neurapathy in my feet, Plantar fascia in left foot bulging disk in lower back and neck

- Cymbalta Not Working
- It did not work. Its supposed to help neurapathy but it did not
- Flexeril Not Working
- did not work Just made me sleepy
- Heat Not Working
- nothing seems to be working. They are now going to try lumbar facet joint injections
- Clinoril Not Working
- I think Im becoming immuned to medicine cause they have had me on so many
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- it helps to talk it out and she gets me to laughing
- Writing Working / Worked
- It really helps writing. Ive been doing it since jan,27th 1984. Last count I have over 200 notebooks

My name is Virginia. Im 42. I have been smoking up to two packs a day. I quit along time ago for 6 months. And I could kick myself for starting again. Ive been smoking for over 20 yrs. Just recently I tried quitting. That time 5 days. It is August 24th. I just had surgery done yesterday to remove a port in my chest from when I had breast cancer back in 2005. They don't like you to smoke(They told me the 20th.But I started not smoking the 21st. Trying Again to quit

Open Breast Cancer
I was devastated in 2005 when my dr. told me I had breast cancer. I had a lumpechtomy and lymph node surgery done. I had a port put in my chest I have 4 sisters and 3 of us have already had it. Me and my one sister both had it at once
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- First time I had it I heaved but after that I just got nauseous And very tired. The one time they treated me for anemia. Lost all my hair Had meduim brown hair but grew back in black and white.
- Nolvadex Working / Worked
- I have to take it for about 5 years.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- had to stop treatments about 4 days until burn semi healed. Had I think 31 treatments
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Lumpechtomy and lymphnode surgery.. Now I constantly get lymphodemia

Had breast cancer i9n 2005 After they removed the lump I had another operation under my right arm to remove 17 lymph nodes Now I have problems with swelling in my right arm

Just recently My dad and mom had a stroke. I was so scared They are doing better. Also within the last week and a half a very good friend of mine which is also my sisters boyfriend had a stroke. That was really scary. Especially when we found out his blood pressure was 250/175. Im am so glad they mom and dad are doing better But how do you deal with being so scared when that happens. I kept saying prayers on all three people

My drs tell me that my diabetis and neurapathy could be caused from the chemo therapy I had back in 2005
