hi Leah,just been catching up on your progress.....and nearly puked when I read about the stitches!!! gross!!! so,in general.how are you? would you still recommend the surgery honey? Im still in a great deal of pain,having spasms,trouble eating,sleeping,talking etc... am I resigned to a life of drugs(its been 13 yrs now!!!) or should I push myself for surgery? am sooo scared tho Leah,it sounds horrific!

- Dilantin Not Working
- (pre-MVD Surgery) I took Dilantin after the Trileptal wore off again.. Seems to control the attacks but the side effects are close to how the Tegretol was.. It seems the Trileptal works the best (no side effects and it controls the pain), unfortunately it always wears off. I have Atypical TN so medication will not typically work for me.. I hope this helps someone else.
- Nerve Blocks Not Working
- The neurosurgeon gave me a nerve block shot about a week and a half ago.. It burned really bad at first and I felt some shocks of pain so I took a Percocet and it seemed to help. For a few days the shot seemed to help, but the pain has returned.
