Close Chronic Pain
I was diagnosed with Fibro October of 06. I am a 45 year old mother of 3 boys. Married 20 years. My oldest is 21 then 18 then 16. This illness has changed my life forever. I just filed for SSD last week. I'm down to 98lbs and i'm on, Cymbalta which helps with the pain,Xanex for sleep, oxycodone every 4 hours for pain and flexeril when I need it. I join boards to learn as much as I can.
Treatments
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- Only use it when I get bad Charley horses in legs. It puts me to sleep.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Depending on the pain it makes me feel better maybe more relaxed.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Use to take it but had to take so much it would upset my stomach and I was throwing up. Changed to oxycodone.
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- They just put me on Marinol the lowest dose. I can't believe how much it has helped with the pain. I was so afraid of going off the cymbalta and switching but I'm glad I did. I hope more people try it. The pill not smoking it. I tried smoking it and it did nothing for the pain. But the pill it works.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- It has given me my muscles back. I was in a wheelchair when I was diagnosed at the Mayo clinic. Now i'm still skinny but my strength is better.
