Hi my name is Tish and I am a 36 year old married to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful little girls. I …
I cant believe that I have actually played host to TWO greyhounds here tonight - when Daisy is coming tomorrow.
The greyhound I fell in love with last month, which gave rise to my having Daisy, had a friend staying - ARNIE!.....who was absolutely huge. Her owner brought them both! The meeting I have monthly at my house, to do with some work I do, is very informal, about eight of us - bit chaotic today, to say the least...lol
I still have Tigerlizzie in my sitting room, to be moved into the middle room on Friday when Jonathan comes down - so what what with a treadmill AND two greyhounds, it was not quite the serious meeting it should be - especially as one of the guys wanted a go on Tigerlizzie and Arnie farted - leaving a very definite aroma around for most of the time.
Hope Daisy is a bit more genteel and doesnt fart too much..........lol .. another friend is coming tomorrow, in the area from a way away - she is coming and hoping for us both to take Daisy and Finzi her black labrador out for a walk. Hmmmmm - think I would just like to walk her round the garden at first - bit nervous of this 'seeing cats and running' bit.....oh well....we will see........will report back tomorrow....

Oh dear crazycat I hope you have a return clause for diasy!I just cannot see you handling and caring for her on a daily basis. Dogs are as bad as children and sometimes worse. I speak from experience on that one. ((hugs))marcia

Oh NO! ... Crazycat, dogs are much easier than children, and that is from one who has brought up three boys. Dogs are far easier... and I have had dogs all my life, as I know you have. As long as you are consistent, firm, gentle and loving you cant go wrong. They dont answer back either. lol Daisy will add some unconditional love and company to your life, as Minky does to me, she is no trouble at all, and in the bad times is a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
You are a busy person.... you have a good mix of things in your life.
All the best for tomorrow. I remember when we got Mink, she was just a puppy and was scared and confused, but it did not take long for her to realise she was in a safe loving place.
hugs2you, jazzybella xoxo ;))

wow a greyhound huh? My brother had one named Lindsey she was wonderful and very gentle too. She was a bit of a leaner so you had to be careful when you moved away from her and could whip you good with her tail if you weren't careful. I do hope that it works out for you...know this is something you have been wanting for some time...take care and have a great day. Julie

I'm so excited for you, can't wait to see a picture of your new baby. If I remember right you said Daisy is about three years old? If so she should be pretty much out of her "puppy brain" stage and much easier to work with, especialy if she tends to be shy. I really think your going to love having her around and if she's a smart dog it won't take her long to learn your routine. Hugs, Georgia
