Present
You must have been really annoyed.............I was lashing out and hurt and I can see that now. On a positive note. my first step mom was in my life from 18months to 26 years and I loved her and bonded with her not my Bio mom. I lived with her though so hardly ever saw bio mom. So I guess you can acheive a great relationship with a step mom, I loved mine and she loved me.

I am really sorry. What I said was disgraceful and I had no right. I am ashamed of myself now and hope you can see where I was coming from. My 5 step moms were witches and have left me bitter. I was well out of order. I wish you all the best x

I replied to your step family post, but I want you to know I am here to talk if you need. Ignore the negative people in that group, I know first hand step families can work, and I know first hand it's not easy on anyone. Too many of them have been hurt too deeply to see the child's best interest through their own pain. Really, don't take the negative comments to heart.

I have spent the last year with a wonderful man who has 2 beautiful children ages 3 and 4. I myself have two ages 8 and 11. Together we face many obstacles in getting them to all get along and understand that we are a family. My daughter lives with us full time and my son and his children come to visit. I am looking for advice and support to help us through some of the difficulties of our blended family.

- Was succesful for a few months but eventually went back to smoking.

My son has been diagnosed as being within the autism spectrum and I am here to talk with other parents who are facing what we are.
