A pretty good example of the above quote happened to me yesterday. I was having a pretty rough day with my face pain at work, when I saw a man that at first glance I thought was wearing some kind of strange mask. Taking a second look, I realized he was a burn victim. I could only imagine how difficult it is for him to go out in public, and seeing him go about his shoping made me realize that as bad as things have been lately, there are a lot of people who have it many times worse. I hope I can remember this when I am tempted to feel sorry for myself.

It's always good to know that others are not necessarily doing worse, but who know what we're going through. It's helpful to know we're not alone. I too hope you can remember that.
