Originally from Wales I have lived in Berkshire, England since 1979. Father of 2 children, daughter and son , 3 grandchildren all boys . My family are my world and I love and cherish them very much. This site has been so good for me, I hope it helps you also. I have met some wonderful people here who will listen to me and help me through the difficult times. Thank you, I value your friendship very much. I hope some of you will be able to see it is possible to climb out of the depths of despair and enjoy life again.

My wfie stopped loving me and left me for someone else. All this after 27 years of marriage and being together for 29 years. I loved her more than life itself. I am devistated. Will I ever be able to come to terms with this? Well the answer is .....Yes ! I have come a very long way in such a short time, something I thought was impossible !

- The love I have from my children, grandchildren and other family have been so important to me

- I find it does help to listen to music. I cannot escape the memories associated with my wife as we had 29 years of music! Well there are one or two songs that are very special to me and mean a lot. Yeh I would say it does help me.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- It is helping me a lot, it helps me feel 'normal'. It does not make me feel happy, sad, angry, calm, just Normal really. Am now off Prozac and feel fine, it was a big help to me when I needed help. I know it does not work for everyone but it worked very well for me
- Reading Working / Worked
- I can get lost in a book and find it helps me escape
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- Yes, it has helped so much, I have tremendous support from my family and friends. I dont know what I would have done or where I would have ended up without it.

- Finding this site was so important for me. I cannot describe how much the people I have had contact with have helped me - it is beyond words and it is something I will be eternally grateful for.
- Talking Working / Worked
- Talking helps me a lot, though I am very aware and careful not to bring up the subject too often with my friends as I dont want to go on and on about it, In fact I dont really want to talk about her at all these days!
- Time Working / Worked
- When this first happened I thought I would never get over this. They say time helps and I have found that to be so true. Each day that goes by makes me a stronger person. I still hurt at times and I guess I always will , but the hurt is gettng less and less painful each day.
