After 19 years of marriage I am single again. I lost my father 5 months ago and he was my rock. I am now raising two teenage boys and just trying to be the best mom I can. I am founding myself again after all these years. I am finally going to start enjoying my life.

I was a caregiver to my dad for approx. 1 1/2 years. He passed away 10/31/07. Mom is now living with us and we are grieving all together.
Close Back Pain
Herniated a disc in my lower back L4-5 S-1 12-31-2006 been to many doctors for help any advice
Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- when in a lot of pain, bedrest, pain meds, ice and tens unit.
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- OUCH!!!! they hurt terrible got relief for one day after regressing for 6 not for me
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- lets me functions on days when the pain is miserable.
- Lidoderm Not Working
- didn't work for me at all.
- Lyrica Not Working
- had allergic reaction to it. Couldn't leave the bathroom.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- helped gain some stregnth back but loosing it again now that I am not in it anymore.
- TENS Working / Worked
Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
Right now I am a full time mom with two teenage boys 17 and 15. I am out of work because of a temporary disbility (I hope)

Just lost my dad 10/31/07 Almost seems like a cruel joke. Still don't believe it. Feel like I will wake up and it will all be a terrible dream.
