Hi, my long lost friends,
I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing. Things are really wonderful for me, and I hope everybody here gets to feel what it's like. Soon. My baby Amanda just got her second tooth, and Elisa took her first crawling steps today. My marriage, well, my husband has had a rough time recently. Fatherhood is hard on a man. I'm looking forward to when his freak-out depression stress attack is over. For the moment, I'm just so in love with my girls that everything else fades into the background.
I'm still thinking of everybody here, especially those who haven't gotten their families yet. You'll get them, one way or another, and you'll love them. Just hold on and don't give up. It will all have been worthwhile. Sucky, but worthwhile.

I totally agree that fatherhood is hard on a man. Women are natural at it. Men have to peel themselves from their computer or whatever sports are on and then it seems like work to have to spend time with their baby. I'm tellin' ya it's still happening here and Charlie is a BOY for one, and 20 months old for another. My hub says he can't wait til he can take him golfing, fishing, hunting...whatever fathers and sons do. My hub is not a fan of baby and early toddler play...while I LOVE it! Men.

I totally agree. My husband can get home from work and do a million little tasks before he even stops by to see the boys. Meanwhile they are clamoring at the baby gate yelling dada. I run to see them the second I get home and I am usually only away for 2 hours at the most. I guess that is why we are the mothers. I am glad to hear your little girls are doing so well. We should get all 4 kids together sometime. I am only about an hour away from you!!
