I am a 47 year old mom and wife. My daughter is 11 and full of energy. My husband has chronic heart and kidney disease. I am a diabetic with severe arthritic problems, also I suffer from depression.

I love to write poetry(I am very shy to have people read it) and short stories. I love the elderly they are the smartest people on earth! I also love children, their honesty is refreshing. Reading is my favorite pastime. I like to do volunteer work.

Taking the bad with the good

; GOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS
I like to start with the good news;
My goal to get more execise is going well. I even brought my bad cholesteral down by almost 40 points ! also I got a new pair of diabetic footwear with special inserts and they feel great.
The bad news;
The van broke down with major repairs needed, of course we can't afford to fix. Now have to find something else affordable to drive.
I started walking a lot and my feet and ankles swelled up so bad, I couldn't get shoes on for two weeks.
Back to the good news;
My feet are better and now I can walk more because of the new orthotics.
No more car notes!
Family coming in from four different states for the Holidays

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was severely burned as a child and suffered from post traumatic stress. This went untreated. I now suffer GAD as an adult. I am also diabetic. I have an 11 year old daughter. I care for a chronicly ill husband, and elderly mother. I am under tremendous stress!

I am a forty-six year old type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed during pregnancy 12 years ago. I started out after my pregnancy taking pills but eventually progressed to insulin. I am a very anxious person and I stress out alot. This makes it very hard to control my sugars.

I have had panic disorder for years. I never knew what it was until diagnosed. Heart disease runs in my family so I just assumed I was having heart related problems.

I am the daughter of an alcoholic mother. She is in the last stages of alcoholism and refuses to even try recovery. I have been to Al-Anon meetings but nothing seems to help. My father drank himself to death. Mom used to be my best friend, now she is a mean and manipulative drunk. Where is my mother?
