THE MAGIC SMILE
THE SMILE YOU SEE UPON MY FACE
DOES NOT ERASE
MY PAIN
THE SMILE IS THERE
SO YOU WILL BE
MORE COMFORTABLE
WITH ME
THE SMILE IS THERE
TO PROTECT ME
FROM UNKIND WORDS
AND THOUGHTS THAT MAY BE
THE SMILE IS THERE
SO I WILL NOT HAVE
TO EXPLAIN
THE PAIN
THE SMILE WILL HELP
PREVENT
THE MOOD FROM CHANGING
TO GLOOM
AND DOOM
THE SMILE IS THERE
TO MAKE ME BLEND IN
AND FEEL
MORE "NORMAL"
THE SMILE IS THERE
BECAUSE IT CAN HIDE
A WORLD OF HURT
A UNIVERSE OF PAIN
AND, TO SOME EXTENT, HELP ME LIVE AGAIN.

This poem says it beautifully. Sad but true. It's such a lonely feeling to have to hide the pain, or that it is invisible........but otherwise we'd turn into grouchy, not very nice to be around, kind of people huh? You are a really wonderful sweet talented woman......I hope the people around you see more of who you really are and how strong you are to suffer such pain with such grace!! Hugs & prayers for you to feel better and have more good days ahead less pain, soon.
