Journal Entry for July 21, 2007 Mood
Saturday, July 21, 2007

Hmmm...I wrote my first entry the other day but I apparently forgot to save it.

Today was a good day.  I didn't get to go for a walk because I had to go to the studio and do a couple of shoots.  They went well.   Both were babies and 1 baby was REALLY good!

I did go to Starbucks today and I wanted a Mocha Frap.  I hadn't eaten all day and it was now 3:30pm.  But I couldn't bring myself to get one.  Instead I got a lite and went home and had a few cubes of cheese.  Later we went shopping and stopped at Wendy's.  Everyone got burgers and fries.  I got chili and was quite satisfied.  I did have a few candies that my mom brought back from Guatemala.  Now I'm drinking my vanilla truffle tea and having some dessert flats.  I've been having that alot lately and I really like it although I'm not normally a tea drinker.  It's better than having a bad of chips or chocolate before bed.

I convinced Joe to give me the scale today (I wasn't supposed to get it until tomorrow).  I went up 1 pound.  I was down 5 pounds this week by day 3 so I new something had to give.  Normally, I would be totally crushed because I couldn't never wrap my brain around the fact that different factors such as water can make your weight fluctuate.  Especially in the begining. But I understand that now so I'm perfectly fine with it.  I certainly don't expect to loose 4-5 pounds next week.  TWO would be nice.  It would mean that I'm making progress at a good rate.

Joe's been very encouraging.  He keeps telling me that I look thinner.  I think he's on crack but he's sweet.  So he's sweet crack. haha.  He's leaving tomorrow for 5 days so I can't go walking in the morning.  I'll have to put the kids in the jogger and take them with me.  I love going in the early morning though.  Well, at least I'll really look forward to it when he gets back.  It would be great to lose a little more by the time he gets back and see if he can really tell after not seeing me for a week.

Anthony (my 11 year old) returned from his 2 week vacation in Guatemala.  It was so great to see him!  I almost cried at the airport.  It seemed like he had been gone forever!  He had a great time with my mom and her family.  She said he learned some Spanish and tried some new foods.  He was really excited to pick up his copy of the last Harry Potter book today.  Today's release was a big deal.  He gained 8 pounds while he was away though!!!!  We'll have to go bike riding to lose it.

ok, gotta get ready for bed.  Have a kid's birthday party tomorrow morning.  Will need ALL of my energy!  Ahhh crap!  My tea's cold!

    ¡Feliz Cumpleaños Anthony!

It's great when family members are encouraging. My spouse tends to make lewd little remarks when I don't expect them, so I know he's noticing.

Good luck getting through the party - and let the kids eat the cake (I work in an elementary school, so I know what it's like to have all that stuff floating around)!
