Journal

Well it has been a tough couple of months, but things are looking up. As I had said in my previous journal my son had started drinking again after 4 1/2 years of being sober. During that 4 1/2 years he was very involved with AA. He had 2 beautiful children and was a wonderful father. He went to school and had a wonderful job. Not sure what happened but he just decided to take that one drink again. Well within 2 months he was in terrible shape. On March 2, 2009 we had to rush him to the hospital. His alchohol level was .576. The hospital told us he shouldnt have been alive. They dont see people with that level and still alive. They put him in I.C.U. for 5 days. For 5 days I wasnt sure if he had damaged his brain or not. When he started coming to he just stared into space. He started coming around a bit after a week, but still not quite with us. They let him out of the hospital and we brought him home and started over again. I am glad to say he is coming back around and his mind is still in tact. Thank God. He is going to 3 meetings a day, and getting his life back in order. I have my son back. I want to thank all my frineds for all there prayers for my boy. I know I would not have in back in my life if it wasnt for God giving my son a 3rd chance at life. We are all doing much better now. It has been a very slow process with him. But he is back.
